Chemical - how to know?

Just asking because I’m not sure if I’ve had one or not during my months of TTC.

Google seems to tell me that a chemical was an early BFP that didn’t get darker but instead brought a late heavy period with it.

Is that true or can you bleed just like a normal period (that shows up on time)?

1) How do you know if you had a chemical?

2) If you experienced this, what were your symptoms?

Ive had 2 chemicals. With me the tests never got dark. I got a faint positive then I did I digital that said pregnant 1-2. I had neasea I remember saying to my husband morning sickness has kicked in. Anyway because I had had a chemical b4 I took another test a few days later and line was alot fainter. So I did the other digital and it came back Not pregnant.
About 3 days later I started to bleed. It was way more painful than a normol period and I passed alot of clots. I was probably about 5 weeks pregnant.
My first chemical I got a BFP and then a few days later a much lighter result then at about 6 weeks I started bleeding. I went for a scan and was told id had a early MC. Ive also had a MC at 10+ weeks. With that I had a bleed at 6 weeks. Went to hospital for a scan and see baby and HB. Told to take it easy and the bleeding stopped. Then at 10+ weeks I felt a sudden woosh and ran to the Bathroom and I was bleeding really really heavy. I went to the hospital for another scan where I was told I had lost the baby. I had to have a D+C.
It broke my heart.

I've had 2 chemicals. With both, my hpt was faint and didn't progress. I can't say that my period was really much heavier than usual, but it was later than usual.

For my chemical. I had tested two days before period was due to come. I got a faint line on a FRER then took a FRER Gold and it said "YES" then the spotting started that same day so period came early. Full on bleed the next day pretty heavy and really achy cramping which I normally do not have too bad. Then the bleeding stopped. I still got a faint line on FRER for a few more days but could not change a digital to positive anymore.
