Chemical, Implantation, or Period?

Hi ladies!

I have had an interesting two days. Going to give you a little brief on my current cycle.

January 18th- Start of Period

January 20th- started Letrozole 7.5mg (cd3-7) and dexamethasone (cd 3-12)

January 28th- Went in for an ultrasound to check for mature follicles. Had one. Received an HCG Trigger Shot to induce ovulation.

January 28th/29th- Ovulation Occured (Bd'd 3 times over 3 days 28th,29th, and 30th)

(Started having twiching/pulling like cramps last week that were mild but lasted on and off for about 3-4 days. Also have had minor headaches that are brought on around mid afternoon since ovulation. )

Feb. 4th/5th/6th- tested positive on FRER very faint pink lines.

February 6th- I noticed spotting and some light spots of blood around 11:00 am. Did not bleed all night.

Today, Feb. 7th- Went in for my progesterone test at the lab and felt a pool of blood fall. Bled for about two hours, not heavy, just noticeable, then at 3:30, the bleeding I noticed had almost stopped completely and has turned brown.

I am very confused right now. Only a 20 day cycle if this is a period, but I am now thinking it is not a period. Wondering if I may have just experienced a chemical pregnancy or implantation bleeding.

Any thoughts? Is this a chemical pregnancy? Or still possible implantation? I am still waiting to hear back from my doctor. This has been very frustrating.

I bled on and off for months with my first. Everything from brown to massive red clots. The only difference from af was I wasn't really crampy like af.

So bleeding isn't necassarily a chemical or af or miscarriage, but it can be.

Like all things TTC I suppose it is just a wait and see thing.

Hi sweety.
I really hope this is implantation.
Don't sound like AF because surly it wud be heavy now. Or getting heavier.
With regards to a chemical from my 2 experiences with chemicals I bled very very heavy and the pain was so so bad.
Also all preganacy symptoms vanished completly.
Really hope that helps. Pray this is implantation. Maybe it had starting implanting enough for u to get the faint line and now it's digging in more deeply. And that's why ure having the spotting.
Fingers crossed hun. I have never had implantation bleeding so I can't say what it's like but from what I've read it's either pinky or brown or even red spotting but it never gets heavy and only lasts a day or 2.

Thank you so much ladies. I have been a mess. Last night cried for hours. I can tell my hormones are completely out of wack right now. Thank you Suggerhoney for sharing your experience about your chemical. I 'm so confused with what is happening to me. Doctor called last night and was ready to refer me to a RE specialist. I said not yet, please. He wants to do a beta test next week. We decided to wait and not start a new treatment today since we really don't know what is happening. He wants to wait and see what happens over the next 5 days. If I continue to bleed it is more than likely a period. Also, progesterone levels came back at .5. So it really does sound like a period. I know we ovulated last week and I told them that. They said the progesterone levels would only be low due to period or no ovulation. We are honestly leaning toward an early period at this point.

The good news is I convinced him not to send me to an RE just yet. We went through all of this for baby #1 but with Clomid instead of Letrozole. So I asked him if we could change my treatment this next time and use the regimen that got us pregnant with Eli. He is all for it. I'm actually upset with myself that I didn't ask sooner. He used to use only Clomid on his patients, but in recent years switched to Letrozole due to higher success rates. My whole thing is we know what worked for us. I kept journal of it and he has it in my records. So the plan is next Friday, as long as the beta test comes back negative which I think it will, we are going to start Provera 5mg for 10 days to give me a good cycle. I will then take 200mg of Clomid on CD 3-7 and dexamethosone CD 3-12. And we will go in for an ultrasound sometime between CD 10-12. If I have any mature follicles, they will trigger with an HCG injection to make me ovulate.

Praying this will work. I know I shouldn't be this upset right now. I have two beautiful boys and I am honestly so lucky to have them. Both are miracle babies. This for whatever reason is hitting me harder than ever before. The emotions are a lot and I am feeling super down. I pray that God will bless us with our final little miracle soon.

Thank you so much Suggerhoney. We are hopeful that it will work. The fact that I am having a period on my own says a lot since I don't normally. I think it's safe to say I definitely ovulated this last round. Fingers crossed.
