Hi Guys:
Sooooo,as I sit in my office listening to my very pregnant colleague I can't help but wonder why my pregnancy didn't go to term. I found out I was pregnant while doing a Clomid check (prep for IUI). They took an HCG blood test and called me to say I was "low positive" (9.1 HCG), of course I thought this was impossible because the hubs and I were TTC for 2 years and I had just finished what I thought to be my period. However, after I tested for HCG and Progesterone 2 days later the results were negative, indicating a chemical pregnancy. I was crushed to say this least, since this was my FIRST time getting Pregnant at all.
Moving right along my doctor called in a script for Clomid (50mg x 2) each night for 5 days and told me to check for ovulation using an OPK. Once I detect an LH surge then I call in and the next day...they will perform the IUI.
Is it too soon for an IUI? How Successful will that be if I just had a Chemical Pregnancy?
