Not sure if anyone is getting this one, but we're registering for the Chicco Keyfit30 car seat.
Target.com has Chicco products at 20% off right now, and I just got the car seat base (regularly $85) for $62. I also found a $5 off of $50 coupon on line and that helped too (otherwise it would have been $67 - still a good price).

The 20% off goes until April 5th and this is in the USA (not sure if other countries are getting the same deal).
