It's my little boy's christening on the 6th September and my friend's little girl has just come out in chicken pox spots.

Will she still be contagious by the christening?

Just trying to work out whether i should ask her not to attend as there will also be pregnant women and someone with a weaken immune system there too?

They should have scabbed over by then. Once they have scabbed over they are not contagious.

When my two older ones had it, the spots had scabbed over within ten days. It's contagious as long as there are open spots but most contagious before any symptoms appear. Just be wary of any other children who have been in close contact with the little girl as it takes two weeks for symptoms to show after exposure so she has a sibling then they could be contagious.
