Just a quick question which I am having trouble finding the answer through google! Nolan received his chicken pox vaccine almost 3 weeks ago and today, i believe I have spotted a pox. Not too worried about that as I know it is a side effect :dohh: Just wondering if it is contagious? Need to know if I should keep him away from younger kids who may not have been vaccinated! Thanks ladies!!

If it is a pox the sore itself is contagious and only if touched. I went on holiday with a boy who had the shot and wanted to know if it was contagious if he did get a spot. They said just to keep the spot covered and all is well! Even if you touch it just wash your hands. Its quite unlikely to pass this kind of thing on.

I didnt know they did a pox vaccine! My LO has had it twice so far.

there's not may places they will give the vaccine as its considered unneccesary by some:

Certainly the Uk NHS won't give it.
