Hi there, hoping to cut a long story short but abit confused as to how much I can get help with childcare.if I put my details in to entitled to website, it doesn't seem to tell me much on how much childcare will help me.my husband went to part time work to help with my baby when he was born hes 2 yrs now and I feel ready to stand back on my feet.I had a very teumatic time with baby in and out of hospital and my job closed its position.but now with my husband earning a part time wage and I will be working 15hrs a week also part time we can manage the home.however will we be classed for full help with childcare fees or will it be 75percent.at the moment we get a bit of housing benefit but if I start working for 300pound a month then hb will stop.but as long as I get nursury fees I am happy to work.otherwise I might fail to afford nursury fees and working will be a stupid finance problem.as much as I have read makes me think we will get help but hope to find anyone out there in similar situation maybe you might advise better.

The maximum amount of help you can get from working tax credits is 70% of the cost. In areas which are classed as deprived they have surestart nurseries which can charge lower rates than normal childcare costs but I'm not sure how you become eligible for that.
If your OH only works part time you might be able to get away with not needing childcare.

When looking on the tax credit website it states that we can get up to 90 pound a week I gues that must be wrong information.they also have a table stating earning bands and looking at we earn together I thought I would get more help.we both work Mon Tue wed and there would be nobody to look after the little one.

£90 a week sounds good for the 70% of fees.. A nursery place here is £40 a day so 3 days would be £120... £90 a week from tax credits towards this sounds like maximum help...?
