I am so confused, be very glad if anyone can enlighten me. A few questions:

1)What is/Is there a difference between child tax credit and working tax credit?
2)Im a stay at home mum but my boyfriend works as a chef about 30-40 hours a week, if we claim can i have the money paid into my account or does it have to be his coz hes the one working?
3)To claim it says my OH will have to send in his wage slips for the last year but i dont think he has them =S

Thank u, sorry im kinda slow wen it comes to this stuff xx

Pretty much explaind everything here hun x

do you and your OH live together?? if you dont im sure you cant claim together. If you do claim together then child tax credit and working tax credit will be paid into the same account.

Me and my OH dont live together but he rang up to claim working tax credit and he couldnt claim because he doesnt live with us and he under 25 but they said to him that when he gets to 25 even if he doesnt live with us he will be able to claim

yeh we do live together, so would i be able to have all the tax credits paid into my account?
Iv had a look at that site b4 i posted but it just doesnt make sense to me, i cant work out how to apply my situation to it =s
sorry im not the brightest im afraid
is there any advisor or something i could talk to? how would i go about it?
argh, so confusing........

Its worked out on last yrs wages. We didnt have to send wage slips but they'll want to know details of the p60 I think it is that he would of got in april with his tax details on.

I rang the advisor people and they worked out how much we would get a week and it was pretty spot on

i get our ctc and oh gets the wtc we claim jointly wtc has to be paid to the one working xx

u claim the ctc n ur other half gt the wtc. i made the claim for us both, i used to gt them paid both into my bank.
my other half used to work 38 hrs a wk n gt about £12 a wk n for one child its about £56 i think.
wen u ring them ull have to have his p60 and tell them wot he earn the last tax year and an estimate at wot u think he will earn this year.

We get our wtc paid into a joint account. Will be the same for ctc when they start.

both the ctc and wtc goes into my account, i filled in the forms not dh

Can that happen even tho im not working? Its just that my OH will be getting his wages so the idea is that as much of the benefits as possible shuld go into my account coz i wasnt working i was a student so i don't get Maternity pay x

well we did it, before i was self employed but it makes no diff to us anyway coz we just use money for whatever we need to and really doesnt matter which account it started out in
