i think its a good idea. i was thinking of things to keep the kids entertained during the evening reception but not sure i have the time now to sort anything out xxx

could you set up a small child-size table in the corner of the room and put things like crayons and paper, small-world toys, stickers etc? that'd be a great place to sit a face painter too. if you have older children going, maybe you could put those in charge of trying to make balloon animals or something?

sounds like a fab idea there will be quite a few kids at ours but we cant afford something like this so will be making little entertainment bags on the tables next to favours for them with colouring books crayons etc for during the speeches etc

We've done that too

I used to work as a facepainter at London Zoo and Kew Gardens so I know how popular it is with kids AND adults My eldest daughter does facepainting too at Hamleys and London Zoo but I wont be utilizing our talents on our wedding day... I want my dress to stay as ivory as it can, rather than having imprints of butterflies, spiderman or tigers in various places!

we are having a photo fun booth thing table with silly props for silly pics like fake taches & big glasses etc mostly for us cos we are big kids but we think the kids will love it too i mean who doesnt like dressing up & being a bit silly
agree with mynx on facepainter though i'd be scared of everything & everyone being covered
