I've just booked in withan acupuncturist and explained it was for fertility.

He said thats fine, he does also sometimes recommend that the lady takes herbal medicine as well.

Has anyone tried this or heard about it?

Will it adversely affect all the other stuff I'm taking like EPO, pregnacare?

Kanga - I've been having acupuncture since december - plus reflexology - I'm sure it helped me get my first bfp and now this one - mine has not recommended any herbal medicine though. Maybe see what he suggests and then research it before you take it? Is he an acupuncturist that specialises in fertility?

Yes she is - she mainly helps IVF patients but she lives really near me and took me on. I go to her home for it. I found her on the british acupuncture association website I searched for one who specialised in fertility - also Zita west has a link to fertility specialist ones on her website. xx

i tried chinese herbal medicine for infertility and actually ended up really sick, the company was qualifed and such just sometimes these things can happen because they are not medically approved etc, i have a huge phobia of needs so never got anything else like that done, i am now on Agnus castus and was on it just before i got pregnant with my only living son. been TTC 3years now, clomid didn;t work, agnus castus is helping me get my period on my own but still no luck having a laparscopy and dye done in 30th june.

I've been going to acupuncturist for 2 years for fertility. I took herbs for most of that time. She said it was supposed to promote blood flow to the uterus. I would take different blends during different times of my cycle. I've been pregnant twice and had 2 mcs. I doubt it had anything to do with the acupuncture. However, since my last mc, she hasn't given me any herbs. I'm almost too scared to ask why. I absolutely LOVE getting acupuncture. It relaxes me like nothing else. I'm content not taking the herbs as obviously doing them didn't seem to work. I did take them with a prenatal, fish oil and EPO which my acupuncturist said was fine.

thanks for al the info girls. I think i'll probably give the herbs a miss.

Looking forward to the acupuncture tho, for relaxation if anything. Dh is havign it too!

I love it - I always fall asleep and wake myself up snoring - so embarrassing. Its so relaxing though.
