I have PCOS and it affects me as in I have irregular/absent periods, don't know if I ovulate or not.
I'm not overweight and don't have excess hair although I do get the odd huge spot now and then.

I was wondering if there's anyone that has PCOS like me and takes Choline/Inositol?
Can you have a healthy BMI (Body Mass Index) and still take Choline/Inositol? I used to be very underweight and It's taken me a long time to gain weight and don't want to loose it again.

Thanks

Hi there
Inositol is certainly a lot better to take against insulin resistance than Metformin. I took it for a short while and saw no improvement but I am also not really sure I have IR. I dont even have PCO but I thought Inositol might help me. I even bought the most expensive kind which is d-chrio Inositol from Chiral Balance. It is made in the states and is specifically made for women with PCO. But when it finally arrived I had gotten cold feet about using such high doses of inositol concidering the fact that I did not have PCO or IR.... So now it is just standing around at home.
Best wishes
Amber PS I did not loose weight on the inositol, I guess it has more to do with weather you are eating enough or not. I am also underweight which is quite anoying when ttcíng.

Thanks for your reply.
I bought some plain choline inositol from my local health food store. Will give it a go.
Don't mean to sound rude but how underweight are you? Does it affect the length of your cycles?

Hi there
No my underweight does not affect my cycle. My BMI is 17,5 so oficially I am quite underweight but my parents are/were both skinny at my age so I guess in my case it also has a lot to do with genetics and I am not convinced that my low body weight even has anything to do with my infertility since plenty of very skinny people become mothers without any problem.

Yeah, I'm all in power with what you say. I've always been slim as I have a tiny bone frame and I get fed up when people go on about it.
You been TTC for long?
