Me and OH were randomly talking last night about Christmas meats and how in America, turkey is the Thanksgiving meat where as here in the UK, its our Christmas meat. That got me wondering (at 4am this morning when I couldn't sleep!) what do you Americans traditionally have for Christmas dinner?

I came from such a large family that we actually cooked both a turkey and ham on both holidays. Now that I'm older and we spend our holidays with my in-laws, they do turkey on Thanksgiving and ham on Christmas.

My Thanksgiving/Christmas meal as a child included turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, bread, red chile, jello salad, and cranberry sauce. /as an adult, it's all that, plus deviled eggs, relish tray, and turnips.

I bet everyone's dinners are different, though. :)

What about you?
