Christmas tree thread

^We've always just used a tree stand with water in it (with sugar in the water I believe)

Wow Sequeena, love the tree!

Fort Knox tree to deter the tiny toddler lol!

Thought I'd show off my mum's tree, she wanted a huge one and choose a 10ft then realised the ceiling was to low so had to leave the top off :haha: to be fair she wanted it more for the new house when she moves as it will deffo fit then. Kind of a rush job on the decs and lack of lights as she couldn't find all her others!

I know, we had such a giggle over it though. She wanted an 8ft but said they were the same price as the 10ft so she just thought why not. The first thing I said was aren't the big ones meant for big buildings or huge American house type places. My younger brother has kept the top part in his room as separate tree:haha:

That is huge :)
I guess you'd have to buy lots more decorations too? To fill it out!

Wow it's really big. I love it though. Mines only a 6 foot, I've said I want an 8 next year but I'm not sure it'll fit so might have to see if I can get a 7 foot. Or get an extension built just for a giant tree lol!

We generally get a real tree around 5.5, my MIL gave us her old artificial one which is 7 ft...so the decor is a bit sparce with a couple extra feet to decorate!

She's moved it to the bay window now so everyone can see it, she had to drill a hole in the floor to fit it in and still can't fit the top on! We had to buy loads of decs but it still wasn't enough, she really wanted it for next year though for in her new house so she's not to fussed about it this year as long as it's up :xmas12:

Here's what you need to do with the tall tree, saw this on FB last week, lol. An engineer cut the top of the tree off, and mounted it to the roof to look like it had popped through the roof.

Here is our tree! Its new this year to fit into our new home. 9 foot prelit. A bit of a pain to put up, but we love it!

Ran out of garland in this picture but its since been finished. Can't seem to take a picture that is small enough for b&b size limits so this one will have to do ;) the bottom is a bit scarce with ornaments due to the toddler.

Can't wait to put all the presents under it!
