circumsised or uncircumsised?

I really didnt see a point in letting my son be in any kind of pain.

Oh...Does that mean you opted out of letting him have the jabs too?

Sorry, but i think there is a difference between jabs which on the whole (im NOT anti-vax or against those who are!) but jabs are on the whole beneficial to the childs immune system.

Not slating circ, but it isnt. So i dont see the comparison here tbh.

i think RR's point was 'unnecessary' pain. :flower:

I was just asking...:)

Also just for info, the 'newer' way of circumcising means that there is no pain inflicted.....barr the jab to numb the area!

I do realise that jabs are neccessary, however tons of people opt out of them....so maybe its not of too much detriment if your child doesnt have them...

Sorry....tangeant

 I know i just wanted to make the comment before everyone picked up on it and RR had to clarify over and over! I dont think any of us deliberately cause pain, to hurt the child... i see jabs as a benefit.

Im not against those who dont vax either, believe me i would refuse them all if i could but its probably better in the long run for him.

I was just wary of eeeeverybody picking up on your point and you or RR being jumped on for it ;)

Circ the day after he was born.

Thanks Hayley....You have awesome mod material....

Im always wary of circ threads, cos altho nobody has said anything offensive in this thread, i just keep getting flashbacks of being called barbaric and from the stone age like in a previous circ thread!

I know i need to get out more...but id never been questioned about circ'in ever til i joined this site!

Thanks again :flow:

Connor was circumsized at 2 days old using the plastibell method.
I watch the whole thing and never saw him in any pain!! :flower:

Tell wobbles that ;) I'm kidding, I'm never online to be a mod
I hate arguments, I'd rather people understand stuff better than see them get mauled by lions :)

hmm, i'm saying this at the risk of sounding very.very.very stupid but....

what is circumsised

It is where the foreskin of the penis is removed by surgical procedure. :flower:

LO won't be circumsized. Frankly, I left the decision to DH. It's just not common in the UK and is becoming less common in the US as well.

I am in Texas, in the United States, and I chose to circumcise my child for the health benefits that our doctor told us about.

uncircumsised. don't know much about it really. we're leaving his bits as they are unless there is a problem

Uncircumsised. It's not done or even suggested here in the UK unless there is a medical reason to get it done or you are religious.

both of mine are circ'd. Personal choice (include religious and medical beliefs)

I agree its a personal choice, thats why I never understood why its such a heated topic, your kid, your choice.....

same here. Leo seems fine and his bits are fine as they are so no issue. Hes perfect so I wont go changing him in any way. OH and I have never actually talked about this

uncircumcised! Unless he develops a medical problem needing his foreskin to be removed, it'll stay where it is. It he wants it snipped off when he's older, then thats up to him, but i dont c why he would!
