cleaning tommee tippee sterlizer

so i have the electric steam sterilizer, where i live the water is really hard so since we lived here we filter all our water. the bottom of the sterilizer has some limescale on it, it says to use citric acid.....

how exactly do i do this and where do i get it from?

any other helpful suggestions welcome

citric acid come from fruits like lemons but you will find that a lot of cleaning products contain it (obviously don't use anything strong). I have the same steriliser and it does get yukky with brown flakes and limescale - I just wipe clean with water though... might try some lemons myself! :)
 
i actually use a steam sterilizer cleaner from boots lou, its made by boots and you pop it in once a month and its fab, we have the avent steam steriliser x
 
thanks i said citric fruit to OH but he said surely thats not what u do LOL

I buy the citric acid steam steraliser cleaner from boots. Works a treat, once a month, just follow the instructions on the pouch!
