Clomid 25 mg

Yaaaay, I'm finally starting Clomid!!!

My dr has started me on a low dose, 25 mg, since I sometimes ovulate on my own. I've never heard of this....does anyone have any experience with it?? Thanks!!

I have a wonderful three year old as a result of clomid. With baby #2 it didnt work for me.

Dont fret Hun. If you already ovulate sometimes on your own you might just need that little push to get you to your BFP. What cd are you starting your meds? Also make sure they do cd21 (or seven days after your positive surge) so if you dont ovulate on 25mg they can up your dose. I would also use opks if you arent already.

Yes I use OPKs and temp, so I'll definitely be able to tell whether or not I ovulated. My dr isn't doing bloods this cycle, she told me to try it for a few months, and I have another appt in Feb. I hope to be going to that appt with good news!

Don't worry. Stronger isn't always better I've heard. The stronger the dose, the less cervical mucuos you can produce or it gets thicker which can actually impair your fertility. Thats why doctors like to give lower doses.

sounds like a good plan of action to me, i ovulated occasionally on my own too but needed a boost , took 1 round of 50mg and got twins . i think 25 would have worked fine for me

I'm on my first cycle of Clomid too, Lisa! I'm on 50mg, even though I'm pretty sure I always OV on my own (I use OPK's, CBFM and temp)--maybe I should only be on 25mg? I'm CD10 right now, and I took the pills CD5-9. No s/e yet, what about you? OR haven't you taken them all yet? I was hoping for at least a hot flash so I know they're doing SOMETHING.
I'm so anxious to see how this cycle goes, I go for some sort of a test on Dec. 30th to test my levels (I'm kind of clueless what they're testing for).
And Miranda thank you for the inspiration! I hope/pray that the first round does the trick for us!

korink!! I'm not sure why my dr started me on 25 mg instead of 50, I've seen lots of girls on here who ovulate on their own and start at 50, so you should be ok!! I'm taking my last pill tonight, I haven't felt any side effects either really. Some occasional pinching feelings in my ovaries, hoping that means they're waking up and getting ready to pop out an egg. But, I could also be imagining things....or it could be gas pains. Your test on Dec 30th is probably looking at your progesterone levels. I'm not being monitored at all, my dr gave me a few refills and wants to see me back in Feb! Good luck to you too

I got a high today on my CBFM, which is 3 days earlier than last month! I hope that means that Clomid will make me OV a little earlier than normal (usually O around CD17). Last night I started feeling some pulling/pulsing (don't know how to describe the feeling) and today again.
Yes, you're right I think it is progesterone she's checking.
Well, hopefully you'll be seeing your Dr. earlier than Feb because you'll be PREGNANT!!!
What CD do you usually OV around? We're only 1 CD different, so you'll have to let me know how everything goes for you!

Ohhh when do I ovulate, what a great question. Hahaha. It's varied, cd 26, 28, 50, 35...and then a few cycles thrown in where I haven't ovulated at all. So anything before day 26 will be super exciting for me!!! So glad you got a high on your cbfm!! I also have been having some pinching and pulling pains, hope that means good things for us!!

No S/E for me either yet...maybe when we OV we'll feel something? Hopefully?
