Clomid, about to start 3rd (and final) cycle

hello,
we have been trying for about a year, recently with the help of Clomid...days away from starting my 3rd and final batch. I noticed some posts about using this booster on CD 3-7 as opposed to CD 5-9. My doc never mentioned the 3-7 option? My cycles are coming in at 31 days for the past few months.

I am over 35, no kids currently...and have usually been able to achieve whatever I set out to accomplish in life - expect this, and it is killing me. Emotions are running high.

I have only used clomid on D3-7 as part of a protocol to start of a mini ivf cycle. I don't know the difference between the days they pick for us to take it though.
