clomid advice my gp sucks

Hi ladies so ive been ttc for baby 2 since my lo was 6 months...
After loads of blood tests and a scan they have told me ive pcos but no cysts.. odd. They said everything looks good its just hormonal. So j was put in 50mg of clomid back in march. The first cycle I had a text book cycle! Ovulation cd 14 af cd 28! 2 more cycles of clomid v long cycles and I dont know if I even ovulated. I took a break lost 1 stone took a 4th clomid cycle and I got a positive opk on cd 20 but here I am cd 40 and no af so I obviously didnt ovulate.

I really want to try 100mg clomid next but my dr knows very very little about clomid she didnt even know the measurements she had to ask her co worker. She told me come back if all the clomid is gone and im still not preg.
Ive 2 rounds of 50 left.

My question is would u take it upon yourself to take 100 instead of 50 knowing what my dr is like? Im waiting for an appt with a fertility specialist but its likely to be feb onwards before I hear anything

I think it is a bit odd for the doctor to give you such a long prescription of clomid without monitoring you. From what I understand you should not be on clomid for a prolonged period. Personally I would not increase dosage and if I were you I'd find a new doctor who is more familiar with meds that assist conception.

Hi when i was ttc my first i was given 6 rounds of clomid but they did check i was oving bu the 21 day progesterone test....this time however i have had scans and all sorts of extras like trigger shots and still no luck. I have used all of my allotted clomid - they will only prescribe 12 lots in a lifetime so have no option other than IVF now so if i was you I would spk to another doctor and in the mean time i would double the dose - i'm no medic tho but i can't see it doing any harm if you think the 50 isn't working.
