Hi

I am on my 3rd round of clomid and I ov for the first time in a long time (!) on my second round last month. My cycle last month was 29 days and therefore I calculated that I would probably ovulate on or around Mon 22nd June this cycle if I had another 29 day cycle. I also bought a CBFM this month to try and pinpoint ovulation but I know they can be affected by clomid. Anyway the CBFM has been showing highs since Monday but no peak fertility yet. I guess my question is:- is my fertility monitor wrong and I probably ovulated on Monday (did have some EWCM on this day too) or have I not yet ovulated and I am likely to be having a longer cycle this month?

Thanks!

Hi Kat08, I have had 4 cycles of clomid (having a break from it this month) after having really irregular cycles and the 1st 2 cycles were 30 days, the 3rd was 28 days and the last one was 29 days, but I have been having acupuncture to reduce my cycle length and it seems to have worked, even if its only by a day or 2. I can therefore now work out when I'm likely to ovulate, but I've also been experiencing ovulation pain the day of ovulation, which is a good indicator but not everyone experiences this. There's a chance your monitor is out, so if you don't get your :bfp: this month, work out your cycle length again and then next cycle, best thing to do is BD leading up to when you think you're going to ovulate, every other day from when you take your last pill, and then every day about 4 or 5 days before you think you're going to ovulate, this is what my FS told me, but also someone has said BD evey other day throughout your cycle will also increase the chances of you hitting the window, depends on how much time and how tired you are! Difficult not to make it a chore! Anyway, its not worked for me yet but I'll try again next month! Hope that helps a little! Wishing you lots of luck and baby dust!

xx
