Clomid and Femara?

Has anyone had experience with both? Which do you prefer? I'll be starting round three with clomid once my cycle starts but I've heard good things about Femara. Any thoughts? Is it better?

Good luck with your clomid cycle! I've never taken clomid, and I'm just starting my first cycle with femara, first dose will be tomorrow! I think femara tends to have fewer side effects from what I hear. I'll update you on my experience once I've tried it out Good luck to you!

I have taken both. Clomid worked better for me. I o'd earlier on it. But I believe it thinned my lining. Femara was better on the lining but I o'd about a week later, which my doctor was not happy with.

Femara I had fewer side effects, but even my side effects on clomid were minimal.

Thanks for that feedback Krissie! I tend to O early and have a thin lining, so either way it sounds like femara will be a better choice for me!

Thanks for the feedback! I just O'd on day 21 or 22 on Clomid so an even later ovulation would suck! This is my second month on it and I have noticed headaches and moodiness. Oh well, it would be worth it in the end!

i didn't have any problem conceiving my daughter or son and now that want baby 3 its been a struggle. i went on climid for 3 months and HATED every day of it! I felt horrible and gained weight. I went on femara and didn't have any side effects and the month I didn't take it I got preg but had a miscarriage, which was last monday I am going to try it again next cycle.

Just did my first round of femera CD 3-7. Ive had a history of Ovulating late and a short LP. This time I ovulated CD 15 which is earlier than CD20 out of 28/29 day cycle.
It makes for a 14 day LP this month which is GREAT! Only side effects i had was i was a tad bit more teary eyed over things and i snapped on the last day of my cycle cos my SO wanted me to move over in the bed when i just started falling asleep. I haven't taken clomid at all
