Can someone please explain to me the process of Clomid treatment.
A bit of background.... I have been trying for 15 months now and only have periods every maybe 40-50 days!! Sometimes longer. So I have been to my doctor and had all the blood tests and scans and so on my husband has had the sperm test all is fine and normal for both of us. We were then seen on NHS by specialist who explained all looked ok but it seems I am not ovulating regularly so he said I would benefit from Clomid treatment but as I am over weight I need to loose 3 stone first to qualify for Clomid on the NHS.
So next week I am getting a bit of money and am thinking of going private the specialists we seen also has a private clinic where he charges £205 for first consultation and then one round of clomid is £395 which includes all the scans etc but not the actual drugs (prescription) what I'd like to find out is what actually happens how does it work do you have to visit the hospital and so on he didn't explain what clomid treatment actually involved other than it was to regulate ovulation!!
Thank you and good luck to everyone on here its so hard trying for a baby when it doesn't happen youd never think something so natural would be so complicated!!
