Hi ladies just wondering if vitamin b6 can be taken in same cycle as clomid? worried progesterone levels are a bit low and luteal phase only 10 days long but don't want to cancel out the effects of the clomid, what do you think? Also when should you start taking it? before ov or after? thanks so much.

I have actually started doing this. With my first cycle of clomid my LP was about 9 days, with my second it was 12. Because its been dodgy I decided to start taking a b-vitamin complex since I have read that you should take equal doses of B6 and B12. I don't think it should effect the clomid at all since they are vitamins our body needs.

Good Luck :flower:

My RE has specifically prescribed B6 with Femara, so I would assume it is also ok on Clomid. He told me that the B6 helps to increase the uterine lining. I was told to take 1000mg a day on top of what's in the prenatal. I take it all the time, not just before/after ov. Hope this helps!

I take a b-complex as well. started clomid this cycle and RE said it was ok to continue. I take it all month long.

Thanks guys, glad I can use with clomid, have you noticed any improvements on cycle after taking it? Did the RE say you could use anything else to help whilst taking clomid? I have seen a gynaecologist once to get the clomid but as i'm in uk i had to pay privately to see him (would have to wait ages on NHS) and so don't have anyone to ask now as can't afford another £150 for a consulation to ask him! Soooo frustrating! Hope you all get your bfps soon. x

I'm also taking Mucinex as prescribed by my RE - I take it from CD 10 through peak +3, it helps to thin out/make more cervical mucus. I take 1000mg twice a day just for those days.

I haven't been taking the B6 long enough to know if it's improving anything...but I'll keep doing what my RE says :) The B6 vits are one of the most difficult for me to take, they taste so bad!

Hope you get your BFP soon too!
