Hi! I am on my first round of clomid (today is cycle day 7 so I took my 5th/final pill yesterday). I would love to have some ttc buddies. It's hard to find people who can relate, especially when all your friends are pregnant or already have kids. My husband and I have been ttc for just under a year, but had to wait a couple years d/t health issues unrelated to fertility. I think thats made this harder because I wasn't allowed to try and now that I am it's not happening quickly. We have been married since we graduated college, i am 31 now. Anyways I would live to join your group and hear how clomid is working for others. I haven't noticed any side effects myself. Well good luck and keep me in the loop :)

Cd10!!! Yay getting closer for us... I had some hot flashes the last two nights..Only asleep.... Im glad to hear u have no side effect yet bb....

Mine are now getting to be about 28 days. However right after coming off bc they were as short as 23, had really heavy painful periods, which lasted for about 9-10 cycles until I started accupuncture. Since I been getting accupuncture I think it has helped the pms symptoms and cramps immensely. I also just had an hsg scan which I guess helps clear things out. Mine was good. I actually had my longest cycle ever of 29 days this time which is weird for me. Sucked because I thought I was maybe pregnant. How about you?

Have any of you ladies tried Letrozole?? I'm CD 8 first time on any pills, took the 5th pill yesterday and I've done some research there seems to be mixed reviews on it. No side affects at all for me and I'm just hoping it works! Have been trying for several years and after many tests, two surgeries, and waiting for precancerous cells to clear I am ready for my BFP for sure.

Hey bb how r u feel I'm on cd 11 now

Ok I am on cd 10, just behind you. Haven't noticed any major side effects. I have had some off/on dizziness, but none of the crazy symptoms I hear about from others on clomid. How about you?

Hey- I had not heard of that so I googled it. Is it a breast cancer drug? Are you currently being treated for cancer? If so I'm sorry to hear that. On a good note I do know someone that had breast cancer and went on to get pregnant after treatment. What are you taking that med for?

Actually it's original use is for breast cancer prevention but when used like Clomid it can help non-ovulatory cycles. It has almost no side affects really. Right now I have sharp pains by my ovaries left and right so I think it might be doing something. Tomorrow I'm on CD 10 and start testing for Ov with CB Ovulation tests. I'm soooo hoping for that smiley face soon!

Hey-- just wondering if anyone had any delayed side effects from clomid?? I have had a headache for three days now, today is cd 14 for me. Wasn't sure if the headache could be related to the med. anyone else?

Hi bb.. I also am taking Clomid. This will be my third month trying it. Last month around cycle day 13 I started having terrible headaches, felt nausea on and off through a few days, felt bloated, and my breast were super sore. I of course had my hopes up that maybe I was pregnant. (Knowing that it was probably too soon!) I had a BFN test :( and the symptoms I was having were attributed to the Clomid. Hope this helps you and that your headaches subside. It's strange how the Clomid doesn't do anything to me when I am actually taking it!

Thanks for the info! Good to know I'm not the only one. I have started having bloating/breast pain now too, but I know I'm not pregnant b/c I just started getting positives on my OPKS as of yesterday and today as well (I always have 2 days positive). Hoping the clomid does the trick for me, ttc is getting stressful! Good luck to you, let me know how it goes.

Thank you for your reply. I know exactly how it feels when all your friends have kids.
This is my history-
I'm also 31 but have been ttc for little over a year. Both mine and my husband's tests came out normal. I have regular period and have never had any problems. I also think I ovulate regularly on day 14 or 15 (I can feel little pain when it happens and I also use ovulation tests).
Last month I ovulated on my left side on my own. Didn't get pregnant so my doctor decided to put me on clomid.
This is my first month. I took 50mgh on cd 5 to 9. I had first ultrasound on cd11; results- 'nothing on the right side and little something on the left'. Had to come back for another ultrasound on cd13. This time doctor (it was a different person) said I have a cyst on my left ovary and it is over 2cm. She was really surprised that they didn't see anything two days earlier.
This made me really upset as I never had any problems before. I think that Clomid messed up my system. Going for another ultrasound tomorrow cd16 and I don't know what is next.
So disappointing
Hope clomid is working better for you:hugs:

Good luck!!!

Just to update:
went for my ultrasound yesterday on cd16 and cyst is gone:happydance:!!! My dr said that is weird that she can not see it and it was there only three days before. I guess that is a good news for me:happydance: Going back for another ultrasound on Monday cd18.

:dust:

Wonderful news! I am having a blood draw tomorrow to check my progesterone levels on clomid (21 day test?). So hopefully I get good results from that later in the week. My dr isn't doing any ultrasounds or anything like that, I had an hsg that was good. Do you know why they recommended these? My doctor however also doesn't seem to be taking my concerns very seriously however. If clomid doesn't work after 3 months she agreed to refer me to a specialist.

They do ultrasounds to check if follicles are growing and also to assess the best time to give me hcg shoot to release the egg.
After a year of ttc my gyn sent me for all those hormon tests and also my DH had SA done. With those results she reffered me to the specialist. I had my first visit in January and she put me on clomid 50mgh. I didn't have hsg and I am going to suggest that on my next visit which isn't untill March 7th.
I think you should ask your dr about ultrasounds to make sure that you are ovulating on clomid.
Good luck to you tmrw!!!
Fingers crossed:)

Got my results from the progesterone test and I am really frustrated w/ my dr. Let me give you a little background- I told them in October that I was ovulating late, had a short luteal phase (as short as 9 days). They ignored me. I told them again in December, dr told me we were probably just trying too late, I explained I had positive OPKs to confirm this (since she discounted any temping I was doing I didn't bother telling her the temping timed perfectly w/ the OPKS). So she finally agrees to let me start clomid, but sat there and advised against it b/c of the chances of twins. So the nurse calls me today and says the dr says I had a "positive response" to the clomid and my level is 10.9. Now there are two reasons I am upset about this, #1 being if I had a positive response, and she felt I didn't need it, it's frustrating to have them say that as if it was their idea. #2 she said that if I don't get pregnant this cycle, I will do another round of 50 mg. I thought if you were low they increased it? I am so angry right now. I have been trying to tell them this for months but they wouldn't listen. My level was probably too low to get pregnant back then. Now I know I should be happy that it's improving things, but I'm also taking this as a sign to find a new doctor.
Hope things are going better for you! I guess things will go up from here for me, just angry for being ignored..

bb0506 I know it is frustrating! My doctor wouldn't do anything untill we have ttc for 12 months and it felt like a waste of time. At least yours didn't ask you to wait a whole year. There is nothing you can do so just try to stay positive, don't stress yourself and hope for the best!
I had my ultrasound yesterday and my left ovary produced one mature egg :). They gave me hcg booster shot and did blood test for estrogen level.
I'm going back on Monday for progesteron level test.
Shouldn't iI produce more eggs while on clomid? I know it only takes one egg to get pregnant but still....
