Hi all,

I've just started on Clomid, taking it days 2-6 (but 3-7 this cycle as I was prescribed it on CD3). I was wondering if it's ok to continue to take EPO up to Ov? I forgot to ask the doctor so am unsure whether it's ok - but would like to continue as I hear clomid can mess up your natural CM.

And another question - did anyone as their Dr about alcohol and Clomid? I usually don't drink at all due to ongoing ttc frustration, but have been sometimes sneaked a couple of drinks if a special occasion falls at the beginning of my cycle. Not sure if I should still do this now that I'll be on Clomid.

Thanks in advance.

I think both should be fine. I continued to take EPO with clomid this cycle and my birthday was last week so I had quite a few drinks for that.. I can't see it being a problem at all. Just make sure you stop the EPO at ovulation.

Good luck! :dust:

Think I looked up alchol and clomid before and its think its ok to have a few drinks. I certainly will be tonite lol

Not sure about EPO though x

I've drunk whilst taking clomid before and have been fine, I've just checked my leaflet and it says nothing about not drinking. I think taking EOP up to o is a good idea as well to try and help with CM and this is something I will be doing when I next start my clomid

hi i agree with what the others have said. I am taking epo this month as last cycle i found my cm really changed ( not for the good!! ) so thought id give epo a try. Good luck hun x

I would never drink while TTC, perhaps because I have a daughter with special needs already, and I have blamed myself and thought about every Tylenol I took, bad piece of food I ate, every fume I breathed in, and the one glass of champagne I had at my husband's graduation. If you are talking about drug reactions, I am sure your pharmacist can have a quick answer for you. GL!

Just wanted to clarify (not that I think anyone is accusing or anything like that :laugh2:) when I say I've drunk when on clomid I mean a couple of glasses of wine on a weekend! Sorry if I offend just wanted to say that I don't drink a lot whilst on cycles that I'm taking clomid or really TTC. Though I will confess to having some cycles off that I will drink a little more because I'm not really trying that month if that makes sense! LOL!
