Hello Everybody! I have been TTC for three years, and lost a baby through an ectopic pregnancy last October. Been trying every since but to no avail. Had lap & dye in summer, and all ok, sperm of partner is good (although could be better apparently). Have just finished three courses of Clomid which have failed, and am now due to start IUI, but I'd like to wait until January, and get Xmas out of the way first. Does anybody now of the IUI success rates? Also, what is it like?? I'm 39 and just filled with despair and frustration at the moment. Any support would be much appreciated! Good luck to all members!

Dwrgi - Wishing you the best of luck!!!!

I just had my 1st IUI this past Friday and it wasn't bad at all. I did do Clomid + IUI to help increase my chances. Not sure it worked but I'm trying to stay hopefull!!!!

I do agree that it will be better to wait until after the Holiday's! It's stressfull when your scan or IUI is suppose to be a certain day and they have to reschedule it around the holiday's :( I hope we don't need to but I've decided that if this round doesn't work then we will skip December because of it.

Keep us posted!!!! Best of luck!!!

PS. There are a couple of other threads here that talk a lot about IUI :) hope they help

My FS said 1/5 chance with a 15% maximum. Though I'm sure it depends on the reason for infertility. We are doing our second round of IUI this week. My DH has antibodies against his sperm and that's the only known reason why we can't conceive naturally. Hope that helps!

I know there is some discrepancy there about those odds, but that's exactly what he said, LOL!
