Fab news! I just came on here to see how you are Babybrain, been thinking of you today! Glad to read that you're doing ok :) My turn in the morning EEK! Gotta be at the hospital at 7:30am, just like the last lap I had. Last time i was the second one down so i was on waiting about an hour then i was down in theatre! I till don't know if they're keeping me in or not but they've told me to bring overnight stuff just in case. They've reserved the bed for me for 23 hours so i'm not going to be rushed out of the door thank God!

awwh good luck hun! i will be thinking of you too :D i got seen to pretty quickly was 3rd on the list but went down at 9.30ish and i was home at about 1.10.. i couldnt wait to get home lol why would they keep you in hun? i hope you get a good sleep i didnt get any last night think i was worrying too much but once i was there i had no nervousness or anything :S weird..

good luck again let me know when you can how you got on :) x x

I've just got home. I was last on the list. I am in a lot of pain but wanted to update you all. I had adhesions again so they cut them off rather than burning them off this time, they also did tube dye test again and of course ovarian drilling. Bit upset at the moment as my consultant pissed off home without telling me the outcome of my operation or telling me anything. I had to find out from two nurses when i was being discharged. I have to have Zoladex 3.6 injections every 28 days for 6 months and also Livial 2.5mg (i think it's Livial but they've spelt it Ivial on my discharge summary) from 2nd injection to 21 days post last Zoladex jab. I don't think i'll be allowed to try for a baby while on these meds as they say do not use in pregnancy....which kinda defeats the object so my husband is going to ring the GP tomorrow and basically say WTF? ...if drilling lasts 6 months and i'll be on the drugs for nearly 7 months , what was the fricking point?

P.S they were going to keep me in because i was so sleepy and because i have pre diabetes i was very very dizzy, plus i was on morphine so was well out of it. It was a bit of a 3 in 1 operation in the end.

Hey hun, i am so so sorry for what you have had to go through!! make sure your hubby finds out whats going on, i thought the drilling lasted for a year :S maybe im wrong... i was told by the nurse too by the notes the doctor had written about it!

if you dont mind me asking what are these meds for? (I have to have Zoladex 3.6 injections every 28 days for 6 months and also Livial 2.5mg (i think it's Livial but they've spelt it Ivial on my discharge summary) from 2nd injection to 21 days post last Zoladex jab.)

I hope your pain eases really soon and you get it sorted out im here if you need to have a good chat!!! :hugs: add me as a friend if you want and we could have a private chat. x x x x x

Hiya I will add you :) I rang my GP today to find out what the drugs were etc and why i was being put on them and apparently he's too busy to talk to me....ALL WEEK! :growlmad: They booked me in for 19th October! I burst into tears and my husband was NOT happy at all! He is going to go up to the surgery this evening to book an appointment! My sister in law is a medicicine's management technician at the same hospital that i had my surgery at and she told me what the drugs do. Unfortunatly i have a fuzzy brain still at the moment but basically the Zolodex stops your cycle, they use it to treat prostate cancer, breast cancer, endometriosis and some other things https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goserelin also the Livial artificially puts the hormones back into your system to ease the symptoms of the Zolodex :wacko:https://www.netdoctor.co.uk/medicines/100001519.html

It all sounds very confusing, that's why i was hoping to speak to my GP about it! When i do i will update you with what he's told me (after i've bollocked him!)

Hows your swelling etc? I am REALLY badly swollen on my left hand side and also my skin is all numb. The nurses told me the swelling was because they had put 1.5 litres of water inside me but I've been moving about and stuff and it's not budging! I never moan about the care at my local hospital i always speak really highly of them, but i felt so upset and neglected yesterday. I can't believe my consultant just went home, he didn't even come and talk to me or the girl next to me who went down for a lap and hys with him.

Thank you for chatting, it's so helpful to have somebody else in the same boat :) xxx :flower:

Hey make sure you do bollock him!! its disgusting i hope your husband can get you in sooner to get it sorted i will have a proper look at the links later my mind is still a bit fuzzy LOL

my swelling is still quite bad feeling bruised and sore :( but will soon ease i hope how is yours? better i hope! still full of the gas they pumped into me my tummy feels really tight!! gets worse when i eat too :S

it is so nice to chat to somebody in the same boat! i hope your resting well! x x x x

Well i'm back from the Dr's. I bollocked him and then started crying like the crazy, sleepy woman i am. I was rather embarrassed but he basically told me that NO we can't start trying again until i have finished the drugs. So.... that will be our next wedding anniversary (May 2012) Which made me cry even more. He said to think of Zolodex as a "weed killer" as it kills off any remaining adhesions and will put me into a 6 month menopause. The Livial (Ivial) will make life bearable hormonal wise and stop me getting Osteoporosis later on in life. You can only have 2 course of Zolodex in your lifetime apparently....so i'm guessing it's pretty hardcore stuff.

I need to ring him tomorrow evening to see if he has the electronic discharge letter form the hospital which says about the Zolodex etc. Then he can give me the prescription for the Zolode then he can implant it. I asked him:
1) if it hurts... to which he answered with a laugh and raised eyebrows
and 2) Does he used local anaesthetic to which he laughed and said nope...:help:

So...looks like i'll be moving from LTTC to WTT...never mind, at least i'm on some sort of long, winding, never ending road to motherhood i guess  Bring on the hot flushes and other menopausal fun times

xxx

I'm so glad you bollocked him hun im also so so sorry you have to wait so long to start actively trying again i feel so sad for you :( :hugs: but if you need me i will be here to help you through it!!

I had to wait 5 months just to get the drilling done and it went pretty quick was nice to have a break... just try not to think about it too much whilst your waiting.

Atleast when its over you will have a fresh clean slate to start over with!! did you phone him today?

the wait will be worth it in the end hun!

how are you feeling today?

Well since all of that i have seen my consultant again because i refused to take the Zoladex and Livial after my GP terrifying me. My consultant completely reassured me that the Zoladex is THE BEST treatment for my endo as it's quite substantial even after him removing it. He showed me my pics from my latest laparoscopy and it was all over my ovaries  fecking endo!! He said that IVF will not work for me at the moment as the inflammation will not let a fertilised egg impant into my womb i will just keep having miscarriages....so that answered the zoladex or no zoladex question for me really!

Anyway, i went to my GP and started my Zoladex the very same day that i went to see my consultant because i just want it to be over and done with....so that was on Halloween. It didn't really hurt to be honest, just felt like a normal jab that you have in your arm (but on my belly instead) Got to have my 2nd implant on 28th November.

I'm not feeling very well at the moment though. It's only been 10 days but i've been crying EVERY DAY at the slightest thing. I'm constantly exhausted, freezing, starving, achey and i am bleeding very very heavily. I'm really light headed and dizzy (am off of work today) and I had THE WORST period pain EVER yesterday i broke down at work in front of my boss and two other colleagues which was extremely embarrassing for everybody. I had to spend the rest of the day on double dose co-dydramol which meant i kept falling asleep at work!

I'm Waiting to speak to my GP at the moment as I think i may be anaemic. Apart from that i'm dandy, no hot flushes as of yet but I will be starting the HRT (Livial) on 28th November when i have my 2nd Zoladex injection....watch this non baby making space!

Babybrain- hi, I was just wondering how your getting on? Did you start ovulating on your own after the OD? I had my surgery on the 12 th January now just waiting to see what happens. X
