hello ladies :witch:just came today ...

oh well ,forget june its time to plan my july cycle...:happydance:

i have pcos !after seeing :witch:i remembered my doctor talking to me at our last visit about clomid . i called him today and he told me if i want i could try serpafar 50mg 1 morning and 1 at night.from cd 3 for 5 days.i didn't like at the end where he said if to go and have an ultersound on the 13th to see how many eggs i've got!! i was to shocked and didnt answer..:dohh:and now after closing the phone i feel like an idiot i dont want to call back ! does anyone know what he meant? can 2 or 3 eggs come out at the same time? is there more of a chance of having twins or triplets? all i want is one healthy egg that will give me a easy normal 28 cycle to conceive....my cycles are usualy 34-40 days max and i always feel at every cycle that i wont be able to ovulate...but so far i've been lucky ...i wasnt so lucky when i was ttc the first time i wasnt ovulating at every cycle...

so my question is would you take clomid? am i just being selfish wanting a normal cycle especialy since i seem to be ovulating (so far)just latter on ...?
are any of you taking clomid ? have you heard anything about how many eggs come out ? is it a healthy pregnancy ?......i sound stupid i know forgive me ...it just that the last:bfn: really got to me ...but then i dont think we could handle twins ....oh :cry:i sound so bad!! please forgive me:cry:

Hi, I'm on clomid as I wasn't ovulating, I take them on day 2 of my cycle for 5 days but you can also take them on day 3 of your cycle. What the doctor is referring to is an ultrasound scan which usually takes place before ovulation (so any day from day 11) to check your follicles, the follicles grow 2-3mm a day and usually you will have one dominant follicle which will release an egg, ideally the follicles need to measure 18mm+ for an egg to be released, so that is what they will be scanning you for, it is an internal (vaginal) ultrasound a little uncomfortable, but nothing to worry about.

Sometimes on fertility treatment you may produce more than one egg if you have more follicles that have become dominant, and multiple pregnancies can occur on clomid, but only 50mg will have a very low chance of that happening. They just do these extra checks and scans to make sure you're responding to the clomid. Other tests they may do is a day 21 blood test which checks your progesterone level to see if you have ovulated. I had very irregular cycles before taking clomid, since being on them they have been every 30 days, and now every 28 days thanks to Acupuncture. No :bfp: yet but fingers crossed! Hope that helps!

oh thanx for your post! i feel better now! i think i will see what happens with this cycle and then try it.

i hope we both see a:bfp: very soon ....like this cycle...:happydance:

thanx again:hugs:

I think what he probably meant was how many follicles do you have. 2 or 3 follicles with potential egg release is quite normal.
