Clomid produced a follicle but I also have a cyst...I still had HCG jab.

Well, the FN said that I have a 19mm follicle and a 25mm persistent cyst at my cd12 appointment and then I had my HCG jab to help me ovulate. I just wonder, can the persistent follicle be an egg? Cos a month or two ago this cyst was 11mm then 14mm and obviously its growing slowly and i've had an AF in between.

Has anyone else had this?

I personally have never had this. Do you think it could have anything to do with the hormones in Clomid? I have read that hormones can cause cysts. Just a thought.

No i had the cysts before I started the clomid. One large cyst was 11mm at cd30 in my last cycle. Then I went back for another scan after AF started in my new cycle. It was 14mm on cd9. Then on the 3rd cycle I started clomid. Thankfully the DR said he wasnt worried about cyst. And on cd12 the cyst/persistent follicle is now 26mm. The last two cycles were 33 days. WHat is a persistent follicle? I cant find anything on google.

My consultant told me clomid can cause cysts you already have to enlarge as well as causing new ones to grow xx
