Clomid question again

Big :hugs: hun, I knew tht the u.s.a didn't have an nhs but didn't realise you had to pay for everything

Yeah, 100% not pregnant, had 3 :bfn: and think I got my ov date wrong :dohh: Hehe thanks hun

I did clomid on CD3-7. I had my bloods drawn this morning to recheck my FSH levels. I also have an HSG today at 12:30-to check my tubes. This place is very thorough--they require you do all the diagnostic tests before they try to "diagnosis" you, which I like. Of course it is a bit expensive, but I'd rather spend the money now, and hopefully shorten the journey to getting pregnant.

Good luck this month!! I think you may just end up getting pregnant with twins! :)

That is great....a shame that you have to pay for it but at least you get things done quickly! It took about 6 months to have all my initial test completed.

Twins?! There is a chance as I have had 3 large follies pop! :happydance: Will let you know for sure how I get on!

Agreed! They are taking very good care of me. Hopefully it will work!

So I go back tomorrow to see what my follicles are doing. How does it work? They hope to see just one large one? Or in your case, they saw three large ones? Please explain :)

Hi hun,

They will do an internal ultra sound scan which usually lasts about 5 minutes. It doesn't hurt at all. Usually on Clomid they like to see 2 or 3 follies (I overstimulated and produced 7 in total! :dohh:). They will check you to make sure you are not producing too many.... and also the size of each. They need to be at least 17mm to pop and produce an eggie!

Oh can't wait to hear how you get on! Let us know xxx

So if you produced 7, how do you KNOW that 3 popped? Can they actually see that?

I will for sure update about what happens! I am excited to see what is going on in there :)

My scan showed 7 follies on CD13, when I went back yesterday the two bigs ones had gone and another (26mm) was breaking down! The small ones that were 10mm had not done anything since CD13.

Fingers crossed for 2/3 lovely mature follies xx

Yowsers! Good luck!!! I can't wait to see what is happening. Tomorrow is only CD10 for me, but she seemed to think she would see something of interest. Will keep you updated! :)

So I had three large follicles today! One was 28mm, one was 25 and one was 19. They were very happy with the results. The bad news is my lining was only 5mm. She said anything under 6 is not good for implantation. So that is a bummer. Do you have any thoughts on that? Do you know what yours is/was? She said clomid can often times thin the lining unfortunately-or maybe that is the problem with why i'm not getting preggo--maybe the lining issue. I guess it is hard to know why at this point.

I am still feeling hopeful and really happy that at least my body reacted to the stimulation of the drugs. :)

Arr that is great hun! :happydance::happydance:

3 large follies is fab. My Lining was at 7mm on CD13 and 9mm on CD15... They say it needs to be at least 7.5mm for implantation but you still have time. I have been taking evening primrose oil this cycle -well upto ovulation as that is supposed to help with the thickness of the lining. Might be worth a shot!

It is great that you are upbeat.... if it is just your lining thickness it should be easily sorted. With such large follies you better start BDing then!!!

I am off to take my EPO :) Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, I agree-if this cycle doesn't produce a BFP, I would imagine they have a solution for attempting to thicken the lining. I figure it was a litle over 5mm today, maybe by the time I actually ovulate--36-48hours from now, it will be closer to 7mm. All I can do is hope & pray, right?! We were instructed to BD tomorrow morning & Monday morning...and we did last night :)

How are you coming along?

Go Minnie, Go Go :happydance::happydance: Got to catch those eggies! You are right - you still have a couple of days for your lining to thicken :)

Sounds like you are starting to get a bigger picture of what is happening which is great! You will have a BFP in no time!

I'm ok thanks... just sitting out the 2WW at the moment. Nothing to report other than a few twinges!

xx

Still no af :growlmad:

When do I start taking clomid? I need to take it on day 2 of my cycle. So if I start bleeding at 10pm tonight (I wish) Is today day one or tomorrow? Would I start Clomid tomorrow or Tues?
