Clomid Question - please help - no periods

Hi i have just been prescribed 50mg clomid days 2-6 for 3 months. However i dont have periods at all so doctor said just assume today is day one and then take the first clomid tablet tomorrow and each month i just have to take them the same days. For people with no periods or totally irregular periods is this how you have take clomid? he prescibed me provera before to bring on a period but is not bothering with this now.
also i have the same dose each month 50 mg....if the first month doesnt work shouldnt i be upping the dose as it says so in the leaflet but this is not what he told me to do?
any advice would be great

Do not do that! There was another girl on her who had the same story and she ended up getting her period about 10 days after last pill and it was a waste. You really should use the provera first. And if you know that it didn't work, then yes, you need to up the dose by 50 each time. I'm sorry but it sounds like you need a doctor that knows what he's talking about.
