clomid round 7-12, any success stories?

Hiya all, I have been given another 6months of clomid & ovitrelle injection. The only difference is that my dose is now 150mg of clomid rather than 100mg. I was wondering if anyone else has had any success with a similar combination of meds in later cycles? Im not holding out much hope as my first 6 cycles never showed a hint of a positive.

I'm starting my 7 th round of clomid next month, doctor give me new prescription. If no pregnancy will start iui injectables in march.
I ovulate every month on 100mg but no joy!
He said clomd is more succesfull month 9-12 bu who knows lol.
Lady with similar situation conceived on 8th month so there's still hope for us

I have done 5 cycles of clomid. 4x50mg and 1x100mg. I ovulated on first cycle (i think) but did not ovulate on the others. I went to gyno 3 weeks ago and he gave me 6 months worth of clomid 100mg and metformin 500mg 1x day.
I went for a scan today to see if my pcos had improved and the lady said that my ovaries do not look polycystic anymore and i have a nice big follicle on my left ovary so hoping this means i might actually ovulate!?!
I will be starting my 6th cycle of clomid next month.
when do you start your next clomid cycle??

You sound like your at a similar stage to me - I ovulated on 100mg but just never quite caught it right Have you been on clomid before?

:wave: The metformin must be working or you hun - fantastic news Keeping my fx that u ov this month too

Im just waiting on af at the moment am taking it days 2-6. Last month I had a weird period, now im on cd35/36 with no end in sight lol. It would seem that my cycle has reverted v.quickly to being irregular(1st month off clomid).

Have you had a break off clomid at all?

Thanks Plex I take it days 2-6 too. I had a few months off as hubby went away, so I had a break from may til end august. My periods were actually more regular during the break but I think that was maybe due to weightloss. I'm really hoping the met makes all the difference this time as hubby goes away again in march. I hope your af shows up soon so you can start your next cycle of clomid

I had a positive opk today so im more confused than normal now! lol

with my little boy we were trying 4.5 years but got pregnant when we got help and had clomid This time we're now on our 13thmonth ttc #2 (started in Nov11) went to the docs when we'd been trying 6months this time instead of waiting. Clomid is great except for the side effects lol on the 50mg - no s/e 100mg - hot flushes, extremely irritable, bloated feeling 150mg - we'll see lol Im betting on a shed load more symptoms on that

Isnt it awful when youve already waited so long to have to wait even more?!!? Are you being monitored for all of ur cycles? I was only monitered on my first cycle - even after seeing my consultant in nov12 ive not had another scan before starting my next 6 rounds of clomid.

Hi I haven't had any monitoring, had day 21 bloods done one 5th cycle which showed no ovulation, ans had a scan last thursday but that's it. At my last appointment he gave me 6 months worth of met and clomid. Don't go bk til next may. He only wants me to do day 21 bloods again on cycle 8. He did say that if I am not pregnant by next may then he would schedule me in for anothey lap and dye to burn away endo and do ovarian drilling. If that doesn't work then I don't know what's next. I'm not entitled to ivf and to be honest we couldn't afford it.

Do u think ud be eligible for egg sharing? Are you seeing a specialist or just got ur meds through ur doc? Did ur doc increase ur dose? Im not eligible for nhs treatment either so am having to fork out loads on my meds and any scans - including paying4 consultations!! This is one expensive baby im trying to have lol

Im having one looooong cycle this month - cd37and I think I may have o'd on the 1st Dec so still a way to go yet.........just wanna start on the clomid again!!

Hi plex, its fine haha! I don't ovulate on my own so don't think I would be eligible for egg sharing. I see the gyno, I get all my meds from him. The doctors in my area don't give out clomid they don't even know anything about it when I have been to see them about something clomid related, they look it up in there book! The gyno didn't increase my dose til the 5th cycle. They have been very slow in treating me. My new gyno is defo doing more to help me. Sounds like an expensive do for you, will be worth it tho! I'm cd 30 and not sure if I ovulated at all yet, didn't buy any ovulation tests as it was making me too obsessed! I had a lot of pains in my left side friday and saturday so was thinking that was ovulation so we may be clomid buddies x

I still think you may be eligible for the egg sharing, I dont o all the time (although Ive only just started with the opks) on my own and have SUPER irregular periods. PCOS is a pain in the ass! Whats happening with your diagnosis - Is it pcos but with no cysts as of ur last scan? If its just that then you would be eligible subject to all the tests, thinking about it though, as your already going through fertility treatment then you should have had all the blood tests except for a chromasome test, Im eligible and am going to go get my chromasome test in january (it takes 6months where I am!!)

Hopefully you did ov especially if it was on Sat that would make our cycles in sync! x

Fxd well if I don't succeed with the clomid then I will definatley look into it, my hubby is going away in march for 6 months so if I'm not pregnant befor march I will have to get it all sorted for his return. I'm not really sure, all my hormone levels are normal it was just cysts on ovaries and no ovulation so I don't really know! I hope I did, would be great to have a buddy what is a chromosome test? X

im not entirely sure lolol im fairly confident that its to do with genetic markers. a baby is given one set of 22 chromosones from each parent and 1 sex chromosone X or Y and it is the x/y that determine the gender of the unborn child (x is always given from the mother and the father has both x and y sperm, so xx- girl and xy-boy). Any inherited known or unknown disorders/diseases can be dormant in our genetic make-up. If any are noted on this test you will be informed, given advise but also you will not be eligible to egg share. Kinda nerve racking! Im definatly gunna have mine done even though im on the clomid gunna go in for it in January. Its definatly worth looking into, where I am I will revert to NHS treatment which is an added bonus, plus helping someone else xx

I had looked into egg sharing a bit ago but because I thought I wouldn't be able to do it I gave up looking. Defo would be interesed in it tho. Helping someone else is a bonus too! X
