I was just wondering if anyone has been prescribed clomid to regulate their cycle? I have been tracking my cycles for a year and a half, they are around 36-40 days. We aren't TTC until September but I have thought about speaking to my GP about it just curious if they would prescribe it when we are ready? Or is there a way they can tell me I am ovulating?

Hi,

I had slightly irregular cycles, they tended to be a bit long, usually 35+ days. I often wouldn't ovulate until day 18 or later, and occaisionally I'd have an anovulatory cycle. My fertility specialist put me on clomid and my cycles became almost perfect. No luck so far though and I've only got a couple more cycles with clomid to go.

I don't know if your gp will be able to prescribe clomid, here you have to see a specialist. But they can do blood tests to check if you are ovulating.

Thank you for replying. :flower:

my FS refused me clomid because he says I have started Oing again but im irregular ranging from 25-42 days

example: last cycle was 25 days Oing on CD13, this cycle Im Oing today which is CD21 and that gives me an estimated 34/35 day cycle

if this cycle doesn't work then im trying clomid anyway, after over 2 years with no luck I will try pretty much anything

That's why I want to be prepared to TTC, make sure I am ovulating, if not then my GP is aware so when we do try the options are there already to use.
