Clomid- when did you ovulate?

Hey ladies! I will be starting my first cycle on clomid here once af starts back up after taking provera. I'm taking clomid 50mg on Cd5-9. I'm wondering when about I should expect to o?! Any insight to this would be wonderful. I'd hate to call my dr when I know you ladies are so helpful!

My OBGYN said that ovulation should occur (if the dosage is working/high enough) 6-12 days after your last tablet. Took me up to 300mg to get me ovulating and I did both cycles on CD18. I took clomid CD5-9 also.

1st month of clomid 50mg cd2-6 I ovulated on cd18

2nd month 50mg cd2-6 I ovulated cd14

Im on cd8 of my 3rd month now, and hoping to O on cd14 again.

Hi

My OB prescribed clomid 50mg for starters.
Took clomid 50mg on cd 5-9 Jan 22-26.
My temperature rised on CD 16 so i think i ovulated that day. hubby and i got together CD 14-15 so good thing if i ovulated on CD 16.

HPT negative on CD 25. Spotting occurred CD 27 & 28. waiting till CD 30 to HPT again and OB appointment on CD 35 if AF didnt come. will probably ask for blood test just to be sure.

will let u know what happen after.

Thanks ladies! Your information has been so helpful! It makes sense, because she would like to do a folliculogram on cd13. Have you ladies had that done as well!? I'm very excited (and nervous!) to start this chapter in our TTC journey, there are just so many unknowns.

"In Theory" all things being equal and known a cycle is 16 days exactly with AF starting on CD1 and ovulation occurring on CD 14 and AF starting again on CD 28 or 29 ! the Theory is that when on Clomid (with out without other assistance) that your cycle will be 28 days as that is considered the norm and typical. So the hope is that everyone Ovulates on CD 14 and thats that. We all know this isn't always reliable, but as far as everything goes the hope is to regulate everything to a regular cycle, regardless of the number of days (again with 28 b3ing "ideal"). I always thought i was spot on a 28 day cycle with a 14 CD ovulation, then i realized i was on more of a 30 day cycle with an appx 15 CD ovulation date, until everything screwed itself up ! lol

Chart, temp, OPK and track track track ! Your normal may or may not be normal, all things considered, but it will be normal for you. Everything averages out eventually and IF and When you ovulate it's important to know this information. The When is more important than the why !
