Has anyone been or is taking clomid or any ovulation inducing tablets without prescription?

I was just wondering as ive seen you can buy it online.I dont know much about it..Is it only for women that are not ovulating atall or can women that dont ovulate every month use it aswell?

I'm not sure how wise it is to take it without medical consultation so anything a lot of us on here could tell you would not be medical advice, I think you should speak to your doc about it as taking it without needing might prove counterproductive.

I think thats a very bad idea. Over stimulation of ovaries can cause you all sorts of problems.

I defy anyone to tell you that this is a good idea. PLEASE be careful.

I have to agree here, I do not think this should be taken without the correct supervision and monitoring. My ovaries where over stimulated and you need to have the correct guidance. Also I found it had a lot of side affects. I dont want to scare anyone here and maybe just me, but I was on holdiay at the time and my ankles swelled so badly I had to go to hospital, they said it was a reaction to the drug, sun and perhaps a little alchohol.

Also forgot to say there is a leaflet and it has a very long list of side affects and I think you should only take if prescribed.

i agree do not take without being supervised as all sorts can go wrong i read the leaflet and early menopause can also because trust me hun i was tempted soo much as i've known for months i wasn't ovulating so after a year finally got perscribed it .. .. i just don't think its worth risking in all honesty besides who knows whats in them if you buy online xx

Quite frankly,
If you're buying medication online you really don't know what's in it!
It could be what you want, or what you want but at a different dosage, or something completely different!!!
Not something I would ever do.

I thought this might prove useful :)

Unprescribed Clomiphene
Many healthy, fertile women have begun using clomiphene without a prescription in the hopes of being able to conceive twins. Because of the numerous pharmacies operating over the internet, it is very easy to obtain this fertility drug without a prescription. However, using clomiphene without the supervision of a specialist, and when you are not experiencing fertility problems, is not only unnecessary but also dangerous.

Because the drug is not prescribed, there is no sure way to know whether the medication is affecting your body or in what way. Moreover, without the necessary close monitoring, it can cause the signs of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome to go unnoticed. This serious complication associated with fertility drugs can require immediate medical attention in severe cases.

Additionally, using clomid in women who do ovulate can actually make the body less effective at producing a pregnancy. Clomiphene use in fertilie women can result in new problems, like making your cervical mucus hostile to sperm, thereby lowering your chances of successfully conceiving. its from https://www.fertilityfactor.com/infertility_clomiphene.html

I know its already been said, but I just want to add my opinion as well. You should be monitored while taking ovulation inducing drugs. Overstimulation is always a concern, and you also can do more damage than help with Clomid. It can work against you in some cases, drying up your cervical mucous and thinning your lining. You also don't want to waste time/money and risk it if you have something else going on. And let me tell you, ovarian cysts are NOT fun. I've had one rupture before and was in the hospital for a week and had surgery. That's why I had to have an ultrasound after I took Clomid for the first time, to make sure it didn't overstimulate my ovaries since I was at risk for that with my history of cysts.

When I was trying to conceive years ago I did actually buy clomid online. While I did get pregnant, I would NOT recommend it!! I was so terrified the whole time and had lots of weird pains. I thought for sure I had screwed myself up for life. It was a really stupid decision! I would never take them again without being under the supervision of a doctor!
For this pregnancy, I ised soy isoflavones which is nature's clomid. If you haven't looked into it, check out the thread about it. It's much safer and works wonders for many women!
