Hi all,
I'm new here but have read some really inspiring threads and hope that I can be of some help to people and hopefully get some reassurance and friends on my journey

TTC since Jan 2010
2011 - U/S no problems
HSG showed blocked R side
DH all clear
Gynae seems certain that I am O but 21 day bloods not high enough :-/

First round of Clomid March 2012 BFN, April BFN.
Now into 3rd month and on CD12. Taking Clomid CD 2-6
Thermometer didn't arrive again today so still can't chart temperature and I think it will be too late this month.

All seems so real now, seeing it written out. After 1st BFN on Clomid, started loosing hope. I try to stay occupied in anything else but it just runs my life especially when I'm sweating so badly from the Clomid!!!:

So, I'm a bit worried that my Gynae hasn't ordered bloods whilst I'm on Clomid. What happens when I get to the end of 6 months still no BFP!?

I know exactly how you feel it does run your life!! I started taking clomid in Jan and I havent had any bloods taken or any ultrasound scans they have just monitored me with urine samples. I have ovulated every month but still BFN. I am on my 4th round and 8dpo but I know what you mean about losing hope!! I am back to see the FS again in 2 weeks but the nurse had told me they allow up to 12 months on the clomid so we will see what he says. How are you being monitored?? Fingers crossed it is going to work for you soon!! Baby dust xx

I took Clomid for eight cycles before DH and I decided to take a break from everything. He had another SA done and the results weren't so peachy. It seemed like we were moving forward until that pushed us about ten steps back. I told the doctor that we want to take a break. He said that if we decide to start trying again, we can start taking Clomid again. My doctor and nurse were so professional about everything. I cried for a couple of days after that final doctor visit. I'm fine now though.

rdy4number2 - I understand that everyone is different but I find no comfort in not being monitored, at all. No U/S no bloods, not even a reccomendation to do temps or OPK's.

TTCBean - I feel the same, you don't know if you are sitting out the 2WW or just waiting for another AF. Let me know how you get on, I'm seriously considering going to my GP to request something! I did however, start temps today and did an OPK which at CD12 was blank, not even an essence of LH :-S Will see how it goes. Baby dust!

Mojo86 - Thank you for your reply, It really helps to have ppl going through similar. No monitoring at all It makes me wonder what will happen in another 3 months when I run out of Clomid and I've still not O'd. How will Gynae even know if 50mg worked!?!?! Fingers crossed for you! How many days till you test? Do you test? GL and Baby Dust!!

Wow. it takes a lot of courage to take a break from it. But it does run your life and when you take a step back, you will probably find that relaxing is your magic!

You should def get some kind of monitoring as I overstimulated the second month on just 50mg and released 5 or 6 eggs so they cut my dose. Push for some sort of monitoring - even if its just urine samples!! I dont usually test I just wait for AF and if she doesnt arrive by about cd32/33 I may test. Good luck hun xx

I'm on my third round of clomid 50mg, unmonitored. It makes me uneasy, especially as I sit here doubled in ovulation pain. Seriously can't do clomid again. The specialist is gonna have to give me some other drugs.

We sounds very similar Teasal! Good luck! Have they offered you IUI?

Mojo86 - I will phone my GP today, she will definitely give me blood forms for 21 day and that would satisfy me. Also, do you get any pain around O time? I have experienced none so I'm inclined to think that it's not enough but I guess only the tests will tell.

Wonderstars - They haven't offered me any alternatives yet just said that if 6 months on Clomid fails I will have to be referred to infertility specialist It's not right that you are in that much pain though fc for BFP this time then no more treatment!!

I dont really get much pain tbh but feel a bit yuck and normally get a headache. However, the month I overstimulated I was sent home from work with the worst backache in the world. I thought I was dying. Had no idea what was happening. Then I found out 2 weeks later I had released 5-6 eggs and they cut my dose. The last 2 months on 25mg cant say I have felt much and I have ovulated every month so try not to worry it doesnt mean its not working. Fingers crossed x

Just thought I would let you know something my FS told me just recently. Apparently the success of clomid increases significantly on the third month of taking it through to six months. After six months it falls again. This made me feel a bit more positive as we were just going into month three (of Clomid) and I was losing hope. We have been TTC for 2 years and at 39 I m no spring chicken. Hope this helps

I did OPK this morning and still nothing, like no line at all. Temp is still pretty much same as yesterday. Will be nice to see if it changes at all! (CD 13)

Mojo86 - Thank you, that at least makes me think that I'm not overstimulating! Really good that you have a good Dr who looked at results and changed the dose for you! What CD are you on now?

Boys Mummy - What dosage are you on? Month 3 has been succesfull for so many people and reading what you put just makes me even more positive.

mojo, that makes me think I am overstimulated! I'm on my third round so I'm counting on the FS to be right. This is my last cycle of clomid. I'm going to give my body a good 2 months to clear up and get healthy before my appt.

Teasel keep testing I am sure you will get that positive opk soon!! It was one of the fertility nurses that called me at home after they had the results back from my urine and said I was responding very well and they wanted to cut the dose as they couldnt be exact but I had released 5 or 6 eggs. Last month I released 2 they think, on 25mg. I am cd 27 today and 10dpo. Last month I had a 31 day cycle so due in a few days.

Yep, couldn't sit, stand, walk. I was walking completely bent over and could only lie down in one position. I thought it was gas to be honest, lol! I thought maybe constipation but nada.

Yep, about a day it lasted for me as well.

Good gracious, I can't imagine if we miraculously caught. 10 babies I tell ya!

Hi ladies! I am in the same situation as a lot of you so I thought I would jump in here as well. Hope that's okay! I too am on round 2 of clomid, have been ttc for 17 or 18 cycles now. I'm so frustrated with it that I can't even keep track of how long we've been trying. DH is also frustrated. He finds it hard to 'perform' on schedule. I am trying to take a more relaxed approach to BDing and just have fun and enjoy it again! Reading 50 shades of grey definitely helped! But DH sees it as a chore and says he feels so much pressure. It's very difficult.

Also, My temps are all over the place and I don't know why for sure. Night waking? Inconsistent sleep patterns?

I got blood work done my first clomid round to check progesterone, it was excellent (yahoo!) and since that number was so good my dr told me there was no need to check it this cycle. I am on 50mg. I definitely get ovulation pain for several days like some of you. It is painful all the time during that part of my cycle but especially when BDing and going to the bathroom. Does anyone else notice that?
