hello :)
We've been using cloth nappies for my LO for a few weeks now (we used disposables for the first couple of months as his legs were too skinny for the Bambino Miosolo adjustables we bought) and they seem to be doing the trick, except at night!
Every single night they seem to leak, even when I change him every couple of hours.
I've tried using 1-2 boosters, which does nothing.
My OH thinks its to do with the way he lays in his cot - but I have to change his nappy and clothes and bedlinen in the middle of the night and it just wakes him up and makes it impossible to get him back to sleep.
Any ideas/experienence?

Are you using MioSolos at night? And with the Bambino Mio boosters? I think that would be your problem. MioSolos aren't terribly absorbent anyway, but if you're changing every few hours that could be ok. The problem, I'd think, would be that they're made of microfibre. If your LO is fairly still while sleeping, microfibre can leak when compressed so a still baby in a microfibre-only nappy overnight isn't often a good combination, particularly in a one-part nappy.

If you want to continue with MioSolos, you could try using natural fibre boosters instead, so anything cotton, bamboo or hemp. If that goes in the pocket of the nappy, the microfibre will still absorb wee quickly but then the natural fibre underneath will lock the wee away much better. There are loads of natural boosters you can buy but you could use anything - a chopped up cotton towel, a folded facecloth etc.

I think you will probably find as your LO gets older and you want to change less frequently overnight that a two part system will be better, preferably a natural fibre fitted or flat nappy with a wrap over the top. You might be able to do without now but it's worth thinking about.

Hello, thanks for you reply.
Yeah we're using the Miosolo & Mioboosters.
He is pretty still at night as he hasn't mastered the art of rolling over etc yet, so I guess that could be the problem, I hadn't thought of that!
I'll have a look on the internet and try and find some, or just raid the airing cupboard for a towel I can try it out on.
Thank you :flower:
