Hi ladies,

Have noticed a couple of times today that my CM has been thick, almost jelly like. But not really much of it.

I'm 39 weeks, could this be the plug starting to go?

I've been getting clear, yellowy snot like CM by the truckload since about 32 weeks. Midwife isn't concerned so I'm patiently waiting for the plug now. Can't be far away now!

Could be plug but also could just be increased cm as your body clears out for baby, either way unless it smells or is a strange colour I wouldn't worry x

It's possible. I never lost my plug in the sense that it came away all in one go (though I did have loads of clumpy white mucus from probably around 32 weeks) with my first. But about 24 hours before labour started, I had loads and loads of clear EWCM. My friend who is a doula calls it 'baby goo' and it's very common just before labour. It was excessive, so much I thought I had an infection or something. I went to bed that night, woke to my waters going, and my daughter arrived 11 hours later. So it's certainly possible. It depends on what's normal for you.

Thanks all. I'm getting very stretchy, gelatinous mucous. Still in very small quantities today.
