Coats for baby wearing

Hello ladies.

I've got a close caboo for the baby. I planed on wearing this over the top of my clothes but under my coat when the baby arrives and I'm having to walk the dogs, take my other two to school etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions for baby wearing coats. I know some people make ponchos out of fleece but it's not for me.

For the first 6 months or so, you will need to front carry, which works fine with a slightly roomy coat. Will you still need a coat in 6 months?

ETA if your jacket won't close around your carrier or you need more around the neck, you could do something like this with your regular coat. There appear to be plenty of purpose built babywearing coats for sale if a DIY is not for you.
