Hello everyone

I wanted to know if anyone out there (other than me) does not warm their formula up for the little one?!

I make the bottles up by filling with cooled boiled water ( 30 mins cool down time from boiling) add to bottles then add formula powder as each feed is requested by little one. :baby:

But since she was born (shes 7 weeks now) I think ive only warmed her milk twice, usually I give it to her at room temperature.

Anyone else do this or am i just mean? Although she doesnt seem to mind.

i think its fine, to cold ( like jsut outa fridge) aint tho ,sumat to do with there digestive system, morgans older but will drink anything hot or cold x

When your making them up fresh, i usually cool them not warm them!!

i only warm the milk if its been in the fridge

xx

i do the same as you  i think room temperature is fine (as long as youve not had the powder in the bottles too) and much easier for me this way. waiting for bottles to warm with a screaming baby is not so fun lol

Room temperature all the way here too.

I pre-make the feeds for the day, so I just pop them into the micro for literally 30-40 seconds to take the edge off and he takes it just fine. In fact, if it's more than 'luke warm' he actually wont drink it - I think it might taste funny lol. He also likes it cold if its been in the changing bag and it's a cold day  No problems with wind or anything.

Ah excellent cos everyone ive spoken to more or less warms up their bottles, I thought i was being a bit selfish cos as you say I dont want a screaming baby while waiting for the milk to warm up! But she doesnt mind one bit!.

I make my bottles up hot with the formula in and store them in the fridge, so I have to re-warm them. I don't like the idea of making them up with cold water, as it doesn't kill any bacteria that might be in the powder.

So, I have to warm from the fridge anyway, and that little bit extra doesn't really make any difference.

I tried offering room temperature bottles when he was younger, but he used to bring absolutely loads back. That stopped as soon as I offered it warm. It only takes a few minutes to warm a bottle with a jug of boiling water.

i just use cartons and she will take them at room temp, but sometimes i open 2 big cartons and pour into 5 bottles so if they are out the fridge i warm them to take the chill off them

Certain milks have to be made that way though .
You cant really kill all the bacteria even with adding the milk to warm water either.

Whatever way suits you & your child & lifestyle is the right way for you, there is no right or wrong only " guides " .

room temp from day one. It was what he had in the hospital and when we got home he wouldn't take it even a tad warmed up lol

we gave him room temp bottles when he first came home from hospital but he seemed to bring more of them up. Warmed bottles seem to help him settle and he isnt as sick with them. But if we are out and about we use cartons.

Evie wont take room temperature bottles. Flat out refuses! She prefers them above room temp.

room temp , at night she gets it warmed so she knows its night time and it helps us establish a sleep routine .

Hot, room temp or straight from the fridge, it goes down that fast, I dont think he notices lolol

i do the same most the time too, i cannot be arsed waiting for it to heat up while he's screaming and screaming!

I pre make all Imis bottles and they go in the fridge. I then pop them in microwave (or flask if we're out) for 40 seconds just to bring them to room temp. She has warm at night time x

Freya will drink warm, room temp or cold milk, she's not fussy, lol. I usually pre-make the bottles for the day and store in the fridge, then leave out for a few mins when I think she's getting ready for one. She likes it straight from the fridge when teething or on a hot day.

Hannah always has bottles at room temp like you I put the water in and add powder when need it. Now she flat out refuses warmed up bottles though lol
