I think my LO has colic. When he cried a few days ago, my sister-in-law ( she;s a midwife ) said it sounds like colic.
i just fed him and winded him n gave him gripe water but he's still screaming. What should I do? It's heartbreaking to hear him cries and has tears. He';s only a month old:cry::cry:

Sorry to hear that, it must be heartbreaking for you. I don't have any experience with colic to be honest, but have you thought of carrying him upright in a sling? It may help? :hugs:

It's a nightmare isn't it? We've been stuggling for weeks now to be honest it's just trial and error. Are you breastfeeding? I've found that he's very sensitive to what I eat. We've tried infacol, colief and gripe water none of them have brought much relief. The only thing that helps is his evening bath but he can't stay in there for hours on end! I've started baby massage that's supposed to help too.

:hugs: :hugs:
i have no advice as i am in the same situation looking for an answer!
my wee man's wind is awful (esp from 6-9pm). i have him on infacol at the moment. it does seem to be helping but only a little bit. baths seem to help too. i fed him lying down flat and that seems to help (not sure if i should be doing that or not) as he burped so much easier and was less aggitated.

hope it improves for you. i have been told it improves as they get older!

I found there isnt much you can do. I would just walk around the house, keep changing the position I was holding her, eventually she would cry herself to sleep but it was horrible. The saving grace is it usually doesnt last long, Chloe doesnt have any trouble with it now

Are you breastfeeding? I am having problems BFing and thinking of going on to formula especially if it will help him too!

Chloe is both but mostly FF. When she was really bad I was just BFing. I dont know how much of it is down to FF and how much is just that she's grown out of it

:hugs: I know how hard it is. My LO used to suffer with it. I used to give her infacol before every feed but i changed her bottles to Dr Brown's and have managed to wean her off infacol. She is much much better

Yes , I breastfeed my LO. I stop using infacol now as it didn't seem to help. I'm using gripe water and this thai stuff ( live in Thailand ) and it really helps him fart like a machine gun ( sorry tmi )
this couple of days he seems to get a lot of wind out ( of his bottom ). he's getting better because of his age maybe. Oh! also since yesterday I started to get big burbs out of him almost from every feed, only takes a bit long time.
thanks for all advice

I also used to put Max on his back and rub my hands so they would get hot and id put them on his belly that helped allot

If you try massaging his little tummy quite firmly from left to right in a rainbow type shape, thats what I do for Skye with baby massage and it seems to help. Dont do it when hes screaming, but before, maybe a couple of times a day, and not directly after a feed :) Also, if you lift his legs and rub down his tummy, this might shift some wind.

I understand your pain and worry hun!! Its awful when your LO is crying so bad and nothing you do will pacify them!!

I got infant gaviscon perscribed by the doc ... which is much better!! I can now use gripe water cos shes a month old so will try that next time she has an episode!! She was put on anti-biotics on saturday and saturday night she was really bad!! She made her self sick because of all her crying  it was awful!!
