Lo has been quite uncomfortable recently, she farts alot and i think i'm slightly oversupplied so she struggles to drink at first and has to gulp my milk down. We tried infacol but didn't notice much difference, tried dentinox which has worked but she had a really runny poo yesterday after the day taking dentinox. Tried colief this afternoon, she's still grizzly and just seems unhappy. Anyone taken dentinox and colief together? will ask hv when i see her next.

Don't know but I was wondering this too only I was going to try gripe water with colief x

As far as I know it's totally fine. You can't use dentinox and infacol together I don't think because it's the same active ingredient in both. But any other combination is fine.

I think my hv said to me though that colief will only help babies whose problems are being cause by the lactose in milk...? So may still be worth chatting to your hv about that...

Daisy had major colic and colief helped massively. She isnt lactose intolerant but it worked wonders (cured it). I will warn you that if dentinox is causing poosplosions, colief will make them even worse so I would be inclined to only use colief if i were you. I used it in conjunction with carobel (milk thickner which reduces air bubbles in milk and thus reduces wind). p.s you can get colief on prescription just incase you didnt already know that.x

Colief is simply an enzyme that helps break down the milk proteins which cause a lot of babies painful wind in the gut as they try to break them down. Infacol and dentinox are very similar to each other but are completely different from Colief and either of them is absolutely fine to use with the Colief. Personally I used colief and dentinox together because my LO didn't like the taste of infacol but I could put dentinox in his bottle. Colief made a huge difference to my little one, and I would recommend it but it will give you runny nappies and is expensive. You might find that a reduced lactose milk does the trick like aptamil comfort which would work out cheaper.

I used to use dentinox & gripe water together so I would assume its fine x

I checked with a pharmacist friend who said it's fine to use them together. Today was the 2nd day of the colief and although it has made a difference she's stil not happy and is now slobbering and wants to be on the boob all the time. We'll see how it goes...
