Combination feeding

Hi

Have posted on BF board but also looking for some advice from here if anyone has any.

Wondering if anyone can give me some advice on giving baby EBM as well as formula. Not being able to Breast feed means I am currently expressing for my baby but I am considering doing this and topping up with Aptamil. Can anyone advise if they have done this and how they do it successfully.

I am interested in when you express and how many feeds you do of each - my baby is currently one week old. I am worried that if I use formula my milk supply will start to dry up so wondering if anyone can tell me how it works for them.

Karinna gets a 4 oz bottle every 3-4 hours. When I pump I usually get 6 ounces in total so I make 3- 2 oz bottles of EBM and add 2 oz of formula to each one. I have a low supply so this helps me get more bottles through the day. So then in total I have 3 bottles with 4 oz with combined formula and EBM in each one.
