Come and wait with me in my tww :D GUESS WHO'S BACK YEP CRAZY WOMAN HERE

Just wondering how long it takes hcg to leave your body after giving birth? My body has been acting weird for some time and I almost feel like it's gearing up to go fertile again and it's probably from the lack of breastfeeding at the beginning and no baby for 3 weeks. I've never had it happen that soon after baby so wondering how long it takes for the hormones to dampen down
hm I’m not sure but I know you can ovulate quite soon after giving birth, like you start a new cycle after giving birth, especially if you’re not breastfeeding.

RedRose19---the symptoms you are describing sound like a combination of birth trauma, concern for your daughter, and the unnatural separation from her you have had to experience due to her NICU stay.
Be gentle with yourself. It sounds like all that stress has impacted your emotions and hormones.
Do you have support/someone to talk to/lean on about what you have recently gone through?
I hope your daughter heals and graduates from NICU and that your body and mind reaches equilibrium soon.
Postpartum with my son last year was really hard on my spirit and emotions. It took time, but eventually I started to heal from it all.

yeah ive had to book a session with my therapist because I think for the first time I'm dealing with ppd . I think the separation the ptsd of seeing her have the seizures. I think my body on top of it all assumed I lost the baby due to the separation. I was pumping but I don't think it's the same as the skin to skin and baby feeding from you

7DPO today, obviously BFN lol, we shall see what tomorrow brings, with my son I saw a super faint line on 8DPO

Today’s chart and hormone levels

Progesterone dropped a little but still above 10 so it’s fine. My temp SPIKED. Still having spotting and it turned pink/light red which I’m not thrilled about, but it’s a very small amount, only when I wipe after a bowel movement. I got my progesterone drawn this morning, so hopefully I’ll get the results tonight, though it might be tomorrow.

I'm so sorry you are having such a tough time, what a great idea to get some help if you think you may have PPD! I had PPA with my first I think but was too scared to seek any help, you are so smart to go through with it

I'm so sorry, RedRose. Everything you and she have gone through is brutal. I can't imagine how scared you felt watching baby girl experience the seizures. And you are right, the separation from her also probably strained your spirit because of course you want to be with your baby.
I'm thinking of you.
I experienced postpartum depression this last baby too. For a while, I needed meds and therapy to recover.
Wishing you peace.

Also 8dpo and BFN. But my only ever faint line was 11-12dpo, so I don’t consider myself out until AF arrives.
My temp dropped right back down today, boo. At least it’s still in the post-O range. But my progesterone jumped up on Inito to 15, so that’s good at least. My lab results aren’t available yet unfortunately.

With my son I had a noticeable shadow line on my 8DPO, which is why I think I’m out since it’s stark white today :(

@PinkCupcakes I was just saying on another thread my positives have varied between 8 and 10 dpo ,so don't count yourself out quite yet! But I totally get how disheartening those negatives are, even if you logically know it may be early.

@RedRose19 How are things going? Is baby still in NICU? i am so, so sorry about the rocky start but hopefully one day this will all be a distant memory and you all get through this just fine. Still, I am so heartbroken for any parent that has to be separated from their child at birth like that, especially when it's unexpected...and then seeing them in discomfort and not having any control over the situation. On the plus side, she will never remember any of this; she's a little fighter, and it's so much harder on you than her. I am happy to hear you are seeking therapy to help through this extremely difficult time.
