heya girls :)

has anyone watched This Morning the other week (end of oct-1stnov)? They've had Dr Robert Winston and Zita West on each day advising on fertility issues. They covered alot of issues about fertility. Dr Winston had some advice about Clomid.. Worth watching on catch up if you missed it, although he's a bit direct- but sometimes i think that is the best way...

One thing he did say: Clomid was invented as a contraceptive and it was found people would still get pregnant on it so they changed it's use to a fertility drug! It can actually stop ovulation if taken by women who haven't got proven ovulation problems so he recommends it is not healthy to take unless being monitored and that some doctors give it you when they dont know what to do i.e. when you have a cold that will go with time so they give you antibiotics to shut you up :(

xx

Thanks for the information. I will be very careful with my decisions. I might be prescribed today.

I have just come off clomid. I was prescribed it for 6months. It worried me a bit to think I had been taking it without realising what it was about as I thought I had done enough research.
Good luck with it though :)
I'm sure what ever decision you make will be the right one..
It may not be the same for everyone but I was just a little shocked to hear what they had to say as my gyno basically reassured me that it was ok and nothing to worry about x
