Confused possible chemical pregnancy?

I have been pregnant 9 times-6 healthy children and 2 chemicals (one just last December) I am not actively trying but I took a test 6 days ago because I had typical pregnancy symptoms and this would be 6 days before AF. I took a FRER twice and both times light but definite positives. Took one the next day and lighter but still there. Now here is my concern. I've been pregnant 6 times and every couple of days the lines get darker and I can easily pull definite positives on any test the day before or on my AF due date. The FRER continues to show positive but isn't any darker at all from 4 days ago and I'm now officially late. The less sensitive tests like EPT and First Response are just barely showing positives at all and a couple of the tests I've taken are negative. This seems not right to me given I'm at least 16 dpo and should have enough HCG to pull easy positives. Also the digitals I took are actually as sensitive as FRER so that doesn't really mean a thing because with my last chemical they all said positive too. I have zero pregnancy symptoms and as I said this my first trip to the rodeo. My concern is that I'm going to have a chemical and the sensitive tests are still able to read my HCG but the less sensitive are barely able to read the levels. Thoughts?

If ypu look through my threads I have one titled 'Evap or bfp'. I got faint positive 10dpo, then 11dpo still faint, 12 dpo still faint as well and digital said 'Not pregnant'. At that point I accepted a chemical.
I'm 31 weeks pregnant now .
It could be your hcg levels are taking a while to kick start, fingers crossed for you!

I think what concerns me the most is that I'm definitely at 16 dpo and it's just concerning that several of the tests can only faintly pick it up today when 6 days ago I got a fairly quick easy to see positive. I do have an appointment this afternoon to get blood drawn. I appreciate your response! It's just hard not to assume the worst because I've always pulled very very strong positives at this point in my past 6 pregnancies and this time I'm sure that I am least 16 dpo if not more if that makes sense.

There is always a chance that things could work out, but I do think that no darkening of the tests by 16dpo is probably not a good thing. I had something similar with my chemical. (They were very, very faint lines that never got darker.) I had very light lines until 14dpo this time around, but they were getting ever so slightly darker every couple of days. By 16dpo they were nice and obvious, though not as dark as some people's 16dpo tests.

So sorry that you're dealing with this.

Over 4 days you would certainly expect to see some sort of progression. It does sound like it could be a chemical but there is always hope that things could turn out to be fine. Keeping fingers crossed for you x

Yes I see what you're saying...I stopped testing at 12dpo because it was driving me nuts and went for bloodwork instead like you are doing. Good luck hun really hoping for the best for you!

UPDATE: I went in on the 13th at 14-15 dpo and took a urine test which came back negative. A blood draw came back at 49 which the doctor said was too low and that it was a chemical. But when I started reading numbers I realized that wasn't low enough to be a definitive chemical. I took tests on Saturday that all came back as strong positive so I knew the HCG was growing. I do not feel any pregnancy symptoms whatsoever and I have always had several with my past 6 pregnancies. My gut instinct is that something is not right. I tested yesterday 19 dpo and I'm at 267. Technically close to doubling but a little low and the number is really low compared to all of my other pregnancies where I was at 700 plus. Not really sure what to think at this point. Guessing it could either way. There is no way I ovulated late or got pregnant later in my cycle either. Any experiences or honest thoughts appreciated.

This happened to me! Really faint lines that just would not darken over a number of days. I tried to forget about it and went to the clinic to get booked in anyway because that's the procedure here in UK. This is my 7th pregnancy, four healthy children. Today I had my 12 week scan but was measuring 11+2 which is odd because I definitely was pregnant when I got my BFP and that would make me 12 weeks today! Can it take some time for a baby to fully attach and then start to grow? Could that be what's happening to you or what happened to me? I've not heard of it before but then I definitely know when I conceived because we only had sex once and I got my BFP 7 days later. Odd!! I hope things pick up on the hcg front for you x

You are fine! I have had 6 babies and in the first trimester they measured at different sizes. You are really only a few days off so that's not bad at all.

My concern is that at 12 DPO I threw enough HCG to pull positives on EVERY Single test I took even the 50 ml ones yet two days later I was negative on several tests and even at the doctor's office but then it's climbing again. That's the part that is nagging at me. It's like it dipped and then it's rising again but that just concerns me. Even the OB nurse said that it was really odd that I was pulling positives so early and now even though rising the number is low.

I was able to test positive on FRER Clear Blue Dollar Store and Walmart brand 5-6 days BEFORE my period.
