Confused with feeding....

My little boy is nearly 5 weeks old and is bottle fed on Aptamil.

He has always been a good eater and guzzles his milk like its his 1st ever bottle.

He is currently on between 120 and 150ml depending on how he feels and is not sick from it but seems 2 struggle afterwards.

He fidgets and just seems uncomfortable, always gets the hiccups sometimes an hour or so later and milk comes up and dribbles out. Sometimes, but not all the time he coughs after his feed as if something is tickling his throat.

It seems like the milk amount is too much but then again he can't get enough of it and seems 2 want more as he is feeding.

Any advice would be great with this.

We sit up with him for at least 30 mins after each feed aswell

Could be trapped wind. How often do you burp him, and does he burp easily? You could try switching bottle brands, or giving him something like Infacol with feeds to see if that helps.

I was going to suggest trapped wind too. If he's gulping his milk he may be taking in alot of air too.

Maybe try a faster flow teat so he's not frantically sucking and infacol to help bring the wind up. Our LO has suffered terribly with wind so we switched to Dr Browns bottles with the level 2 teat and he's much better

one of my lil boys was like this size 3 teats and stopping 2 him when he starts to sqeek to wind him did the trick good luck xx
