So i went to the doctor today because I've been bleeding the last few days...started out brown turning pinkish and slowly red. i was sure I was miscarrying so i went in just to see what the next step was. They did the ultrasound and said the baby was six weeks with a strong 100 bpm, the only reason this really bothers me is because with my calculations i should be closer to 7 weeks...is there any hope that my baby is measuring small but still has a fighting chance?? Also she did a transvaginal ultrasound, could that be why my blood seems a little bit stronger right now then it was even just an hour ago?

I've heard of lots of women saying that were measuring a week behind that early on and yes a transvaginal ultrasound might have irritated you and increased the bleeding. A heartbeat is a very good sign- good luck to you. :hugs:

Doctor said she's baffled. That if she didnt know my dates then i have a beautiful six week pregnancy, except like I said i should be closer to seven even 7.5. The blood also concerns me, is it normal to be bleeding/spotting at this point in the pregnancy? I thought i was ok with the thought that something might happen but now that I've seen that heartbeat, I'm in love.

I've had 3 different episodes of spotting with this pregnancy- one of which lasted 4 days. A friend of mine had heavy bleeding with her last pregnancy and her son is now 3 months old. As scary as it is, bleeding doesn't always mean a loss. I think the 1st trimester is the most stressful time. Fingers crossed for you.
