Confused

Hello I'm new here & need any advice please! I'm 31 & have 2 children ages 13 & 7. My dh & I have been TTC for about 6 months. Well I had a normal cycle that started Aug 2nd lasting 5 days. On CD 12 I had very light pink spotting lasting only an hour, again on CD 16 very light spotting. This spotting between cycles has NEVER happened before? On Aug 28th I woke to what I think was AF, but it was watery & very light. I normally start heavy & darker. It only lasted 3 days & I always have a 5 day. I took a hot this morning & bfp... So what could be going on with me???

I dont know about the mid cycle spotting, could have been ov, but this past spotting sounds like maybe implantation bleeding. Congrats!!

How long is your cycle normally? Would CD 26ish be a normal time for AF to start? If this is implantation bleeding, you would expect it to be mostly spotting and most likely brown or pink, although red flow isn't unheard of. (it's very uncommon) 3 days seems a bit long but also not impossible.

I'd suggest testing with a cheap test in a few days or a week.

I'd perhaps do a test or if you prefer, leave it a few days and see how it goes?

My best guess would be ovulation spotting on CD12 and 16, then implantation bleeding. My implantation bleeding lasted about three days, though it was just a trace of brown/pink when I wiped, not really what I'd mistake for a period. Still, it seems like some women experience enough implantation bleeding to mistake it for a very light period.

I also had some fairly heavy spotting at 6w6d that was never really explained, but wasn't a problem.

A BFP seems like a great sign! Good luck to you.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I took another test yesterday & still bfn! So we will continue ttc!!
