Hello everyone,

Im a bit confused, and was wondering if anyone could give me some help please??

Im just turned 20, and have been with my fella for 2.5 yrs... we haven't been trying for a baby as I am on the pil. anyway, in my last pack i took 3 pills late whilst having regular sex. Anyway, i was bad an ran my pack on - thinking it was a good idea, cos the Dr said it was fine when i first started, to run them over, occasionally...

anyway, im now half way through my next pack of pills, and recently iv been having some wierd symptoms that i never usually get when i run my pack on...

Iv had really sensitive nipples - was in the car and the seat belt rubbed on them and it HURT it was sooo sensitive. iv been knackered constantly, and emotional, like i cry at the stupidest things and get angry for no reason. (rather embarrasing - like if my fella doesnt text when i want him too - hows he meant to know!! Lol!!). I've had a few mild aches down below, but not what id call period cramps, but have had a few pinch like feelings.. im not off the pill have carried on on it... but today was the thing that made me think Oh dear...

past few nights before i go to sleep - and when my tummy is empty, i get really poorly, like hungover, and today it got to the point i was dry heaving like 3 or 4 times from 8am - 11am, also was getting the urge whilst being in town and have felt pretty crappy all day... its just so random, as im not ill, not even got a hint of a cold, and im usually a healthy person...

if anyone could shed some light I would be extremely greatful!!! Thank you all who have read this!!

hey. i think theres a chance you could be pregnant, but the only person who could really tell u this is ur GP. they can give u a blood test and check if ur pregnant. i'd get to your doctors asap and they can check for you and give you all the help you need and discuss your options with you.

Chick if you think there is the slighest chance you be pregnant and it kinda sounds like you do, then the only way to know is to take a test. The symptoms you are describing could be pregnancy symptoms, they could be period symptoms, or they could be from running pill pack together, the trouble is symptoms of all these are way similar.
Sorry i cannot be more help, all i can say is try not to worry and if you really think these is even a small chance then take a test to put your mind at rest. Hugs to you chick, here if you need to chat xxx

I'll book an apt with the Dr on monday, do u reckon its worth doing a home preg test? or wil my pil affect it... i just dont have a clue what to do, I will book a Dr's appointment though.

hey i would suggest listening to miss lisa and also if it takes alittle while go
and get yourself pregnancy tests. Test with your FMU (first morning urine)
even if negitive still see your GP but it might put your mind at ease a little.

Thank you also for answering... you make alot of sense... i think for some reason when you get scared your mind gets fogged up! I shall pop to the shops tomorrow i think, i just think because i was late (like over 12 hrs late) on a few days running its not worth taking the risk. Plus i never get sick so bawking for me is a bit like LOL

thats what i was thinking, you could do a test at home but i dont know if your pill will effect the result or it could even be too early to register on one of those!
if it puts your mind at rest for the moment, id do a home test, but still go to the doctors.

Your pill won't affect a home test at all, but should give you a quick answer, if you test and get a negative may still be worth getting bloods done for 100% peace of mind, but i would def do a home test, but maybe thats just me. I know its not easy, but try to relax and not worry as this will make you feel worse. Hope you get the answer you're hoping for xxx

All the other girls gave really good advice but I figured I would throw something else in there. When I was taking my birth control my periods were very regular. I took an unintended break off of my birth control for a month because of the pharmacy and that's the month I ended up getting pregnant. My cycle was so messed up tho because of not take the birth control that I didn't get a positive result on a test until 4 days after my period was due. Also, the month before my cycle was messed up because of missing a couple days. So I just figured I would add that in. Good luck!

Hey girls,

so I tested today, as I just havent had chance to til now, and I dont really know what the response was. Used a cheapo from ASDA, and the pregnancy box filled with purple dye (all over, not just on the line area) and the box that signals the end of test didnt produce any dye at all!! and i checked after 2 mins, nothing in the box, 5 mins, nothing, 30mins, nothing, 1 hr, nothing. so chuckd it... reckon I should do another tomorrow?

Just popping in quickly to say that when I did 2 HPT when I thought I was pregnant they both came out negative...then my period didn't come for the second month so I did another one and it was a positive. I was already 6 weeks pregnant and was on Microgynon 30 and my doctor said that the pill did affect my results due to hormones etc but that it doesnt with everyone....so I'd recommend going to the doctors on top just to get double checked

I did another test and It looks to me as though it is negative, although I am still getting symptoms, so I think a Drs appointment is a very good Idea.
