hello,
I'm Nae, 25 yrs old & married...This is my TTC second month (JAN) trying...My first month(DEC) was a crash course and I tried to learn as much as I could during my period so I could be prepared after when OV would potentially take place. It turned out to be a failed attempt even with trying timing "suspected" OV day I'm worried about a few factors but one for sure is that I suffer from dryness....
My tracking method during TTC month 1 (DEC) was just mucus and cervix texture tracking along with counting the 14th after my period (very basic) we did the baby dance before during and after the date of my possible OV. It was a little odd because a few days( possibly 3 days after the 14th day) after I notice my mucus changed and became more "thick" sort of like what I read about to look for, unfortunately I forgot to tack that so I'm going into my second month wondering if I OV somewhat late or close the the 14th day.
So This month TTC month 2(JAN) I been tracking mucus, cervix, and using LH tests and due to dryness I'm using pre-seed. I use the Walmart equate brand LH tests and I tested on day 13 it was negative, LH tested on day 14 and it was very hard to tell if it was more positive or negative the lines seemed to be the same meaning a ( + ) but kind of not too....it was very in between and my mucus seemed to be a positive sign as well, so that night we tried. Today the 15th day, I LH tested again and it came out what seems to be negative within 3-5 minutes of testing which is weird because LH surge is suppose to last 24hrs to 3 days ...then I went back about 7 hours later to look at the same negative stick and it seemed to be positive BUT my mucus seemed to revert back to average not "thick" so very mixed information from my body and LH results??? My question is...if the stick is sitting for longer than the suggested time, is it more accurate since the LH hormone may have more time to bond with the chemical that is trying to detect ?
I'm also curious.... my husband and I are debating if we should avoid having sex if this month is a fail and during the time between now and day 13,14, & 15 so that he will "produce" more he claims that how his "body" works...BUT Ive read having regular sex is better for viable and abundance of sperm. I guess if this months TTC method doesn't work ill give it a try but I'm curious about women who have been TTC for much longer I'm just starting the journey. Thank you ! please be kind.
